The United States of Snow

Forget red and blue — color America white. There was snow on the ground in 49 states Friday. Hawaii was the holdout. It was the United States of Snow, thanks to an unusual combination of weather patterns that dusted the U.S., including the skyscrapers of Dallas, the peach trees of Atlanta and the Florida Panhandle, where hurricanes are more common than snowflakes.
That Hawaii! So un-American....

My daughter and family live an hour north of Atlanta and have been snowed in since late Wednesday...there was a blizzard this afternoon that added to the fun. I lived east of Atlanta for 20+ years and never saw snow this heavy for this long.

It's a sign from god. No, it has noting to do with global warming or cooling. god wants us to move to Hawaii where it is warm, sunny, and he can kill us all off with a giant volcano ;)

He really does love that fire, brimstone and biblical shit :D

As the article notes, it's actually unusual that there isn't any snow in Hawaii. The Keck Observatory ( located at 13,600' ) is usually surrounded by snow on the summit of Mauna Kea.

Yes...this I know. :p

Snowing right now in central NC. Still haplenty in shady spots from last weekend.

Are you sure there was no snow in Hawaii? They do get snow on the high peaks there.

Yes it is. Geeze. What kind of American are you? It's always just the U.S. ;)

Tread careful, little number. Thou temptest the gods themselves.
