The Unending Pending (a silly poem from a first time author)

First time submitting, and I find myself humorously anxious, enough to come up with this nonsense.

The Unending Pending

Day one, my wait begun.
Day two, still nothing new.
Day three, no notifications for me.
Day four, is such a bore.
Day five, will my story go live?
Day six, I'm shitting bricks.
Day seven, good God in heaven!


Here's my threat... I'll add another horrible rhyme for every day this situation continues.

Well, the good news is that even with the current mitigating conditions ( themed contest going on, first time author, backlog of submissions ) you should still see your story go up either this morning or tomorrow.

Much longer than that and it may be time to PM Laurel.

You haven't been clicking the "pending" link at all, have you? If you click that and "save changes", it moves your story to the back of the queue and you have to start all over.
