So that's how they get Labradoodles to look like that.

At least not worse...My dad is doing ok. No change. He's still in a wheelchair. Not getting better but not getting any worse. *le sigh*

My dad is doing just fine. He still wishes he could do all the things he used to do, like driving. Can't say I blame him. It sucks to loose so much of your independence.![]()

Twinklestars, the cats left their den today and joined the rest of us in the garden....first they sat in the olive tree, then prowled in the undergrowth then lay on stones in the not that warm sun..

HONK HONK!
I saw my dad today and he's doing alright. Brought things that he wanted and gave him a hug.
A bitch nurse complained to me about how he's 'acting out'. I call her a bitch because she always has a lousy attitude. Everyone else that works there and takes care of my dad don't have any problems with him but her. To her it's just a paycheck. To me, he's my dad. Damn bitch.
My dad wasn't doing anything other than what he normally does. Trying to do stuff that he shouldn't (going to the bathroom, trying to get up and walk, etc.). He knows to call for help if he needs or wants something. He's still bound and determined to do it himself. They know this and yet she asked me if I could talk to him about his behavior.
I should have told him to 'accidently' run in to her with his wheelchair. Instead, I asked him to calm down and 'behave'. He said, "Ok."
God this is like flashbacks for me. We were lucky though, my Dad was in a great nursing home that specialised in dementia. He was a challenge but a favourite amongst them. When he first went into a respite home they were utter cunts and had no understanding of the condition. They kept getting me and my mum on the mat about him swearing. We were like...yeah blah blah...dementia alters your personality and you don't realise what you're saying. When I fact, I think he just had the measure of 'em!
