Healthcare is at least a somewhat rational argument. Personally I don't think that Obama pushed for Obamacare based on the benefits to democrats or the healthcare industry. The issue is one of motives. That the healthcare industry benefits isn't the issue. The issue is that was it done for that reason. I say no. I'm not suggesting that either Obama or Romney personally are puppet stooges for corporate America, but money does talk. And their respective parties listen.

No, the only argument I need to make is that money talks, and Obama got a lot of money from defense contractors to get him to listen to their side. Maybe they convinced him with good, logical reasoning.

Why is the war in Afghanistan still going? Why was it escalated? Why did it take much longer to get out of Iraq than he promised? I don't know the answers, but people like me who really want to know them don't have access to the President. If I'd given him a million bucks or so, then he might give me a listen. Or at least some answers.

And that doesn't touch the issues with healthcare. The money spent (and profits made) there are obscene.
