ahh I see the sense of humor has been lost.

Yes, I see twinkies mentioned all over the board. But that means nothing to me, as I'm not "part of the joke." Just like that group in high school.
So, no. Not funny to me. More like annoying. But don't stop on my account. Carry on for the rest who may be laughing with you. Maybe the rest of the board is "getting it" and it is just me.

yes 'twinkie' was made popular by Myst. In reference to the sweet and sickening posts that people such as I make...... you know the huggy... snuggly ones. Where people actually try to make other people feel somewhat good and as if they belong....

To be honest, I'd say that 85% of the board activities resemble stuff I saw in high school. (I'm guilty of it myself)
From that I'll move on to some definitions of Twinkie...
1. Dork. As in "You twinkie"
2. And attractive person with no substance. "Brittney is a total Twinkie."
3. A person on a BB or chat who using more than one 'handle' and personality. (This term started in E-RPG because the narrator would often assume more than one NPC) "JJ_Bob isn't really a newbie, it's just Satan's Shadow twinking."
4. A sexual practice in which a steady 'couple' regularly invites others into threesomes.
Ands those are just the ones I know.

The only slang definition I knew was calling gay guys "twinks." And I only learned that one about a year ago when I had to ask what someone in RL was talking about. I don't use such terms, and really had no clue.
