Barack Obama's "Racial Obsessions"
Here’s a piece on Barack Obama’s past, based on his own account of his shockingly racist anti-white attitudes, in a biography written before he entered politics: ‘Trapped between two worlds’.

After his sophomore year, Obama transferred to Columbia University. Later, looking back on his years in New York City, he recalled: “I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to suspicions between the races.”

His pessimism about race relations seemed to pervade his worldview.

“The emotion between the races could never be pure,” he laments in “Dreams.” “Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.”

After graduating from college, Obama eventually went to Chicago to interview for a job as a community organizer. His racial attitudes came into play as he sized up the man who would become his boss. “There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

Harris-Lacewell said such expressions of distrust toward whites will not hurt Obama in the Democratic presidential primaries, which are dominated by liberal voters.

“To win the Democratic nomination, he’s got to get a part of the progressive, anti-war, white folks,” she said. “And those white folks tend to be suspicious of any black person who wouldn’t be suspicious of white people.”

Wow.

Your CLEAN and GOOD LOOKING

COLORED "man" is for CENSORSHIP!

Charles Schumer and Barack Obama plan to introduce a bill today in the Senate that will impose more regulation on political speech during campaigns in order to end "deceptive" practices. The New York Times editorial board enthusiastically supports this new bill, even though it admits that the one abuse most often associated with this effort can be prosecuted under existing law.

It's all about protecting incumbents. It always is.

Obama and Bill Clinton

Ruth Marcus in the Washington Post finds that Obama is a lot like Bill Clinton. After all, they are both black, aren't they?

But they share another quality - the desire to make it seem like they agree with everyone.

Obama is like Bill Clinton in his natural ease with people and his ability to win them over. A New York Times story about Obama's law school days described how Obama "cast himself as an eager listener, sometimes giving warring classmates the impression that he agreed with all of them at once." As they debated whether to use the term "black" or "African-American," "students on each side of the debate thought he was endorsing their side," the story said. " 'Everyone was nodding, Oh, he agrees with me,' " said professor Charles Ogletree.

Sounds like everyone who's ever emerged from a meeting with Bill Clinton.
Such a quality might gain you more friends and lubricate your way through life. But at some point you have to stand up for what you believe. And like Marcus, I'm waiting to see the one time when Obama is willing to take a political risk and take a position that goes against his base. So far he's succeeded by saying soothing things and then taking typical liberal positions. Just a liberal guy armed with platitudes and an intriguing personal story. Is that all it takes?

If it is either

When will MUSLIMHussein sue?

Has he denied any of it?

The majority of it has already been debunked as misinformation. You're beating a dead horse, and an imaginary one of your own making.

Like your little Obamatruth.org site.

I actually read both

I really didnt see it as a debunking

just a different spin

ASSUMING that the debunking site is ACCURATE!

True and worth noting — all of it — from a friend who knows these issues well (all of 'em):

Very good piece on Obama. I read his books at your suggestion. He could make a difference regarding the black fatherhood message. Having read his books, however, it’s strikingly clear that this isn’t a man comfortable in his own skin. It’s not clear he’s gotten beyond his struggles with being black and raised by a white mother. Lots of unresolved issues there. In the end, he’s the most liberal candidate in the field other than Kucinich. His actions don’t comport with the rhetoric.

some letters to the editors

Isn’t there another possible reading of Biden’s comment that could be interpreted as offensive to Blacks? I mean, the fact that, in Biden’s estimatiion, Democrats have been able to somehow muster an “African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy” is the stuff of “storybooks”? As if to say, “How were they able to pull off such an improbable feat?” That was my initial inference, and I’m not of the easily offended ilk.

BTW, Biden might add Alan Keyes to the list of the unwashed and uneducated.

And another:

Love your work, but justed wanted to make a quick correction:

If we're going to be partisan, we should do it fairly. Biden said that Obama was "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy." Failing any one of those requirements would make any contender pale in comparison. All Biden is claiming is that Sharpton and Jackson are either filthy, ugly or dim-witted. Or any two of the three. Or possibly all three. But not necessarily all three.

But I wouldn't expect someone who watches Top Chef to make that distinction :p
(Watch The Dresden Files)

And another:

Based on you post, one must assume that, in your opinion, Jesse Jackson, Allen Keyes, and Al Sharpton were “Not Bright”, “Not Clean”, and/or “Not Nice Looking”. Would you care to elaborate on either your opinion, in this regard, or speculate on Sen. Biden’s intent. I don’t really see how this comment from the senator is excusable.

And another:

You started out right in your remarks concerning Biden. But then you ended with, “Biden is calling Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton filthy, ugly, and dim-witted.” And as a fan of yours, I think it’s wrong of you to jump to that conclusion.

Biden could easily have been saying Obama is simply the first mainstream African-American candidate to run for President on the Democrat side. And that Obama is also an “articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

He might also think Jackson were articulate, bright, clean, and nice looking, but that they weren’t mainstream candidates. And they weren’t, by Democrat standards.

Think it over.

And another:

I actually assumed he meant to include the word "candidate." That doesn't change anything. Where does he get the word "clean"? And "articulate" is usually considered a racial code word, at least by the Left when a conservative uses it.
If this were Trent Lott, he'd be resigning write now — "candidate" or not.

The site you referenced used half-truths to try to paint a bad picture. This is typical of most of the shit you C&P here. The site I referenced pointed out exactly that.

No spin, just the truth.
