I watched the video, did you? The video plainly shows, at least in the clips presented, that he was harmless and was being escorted and guided around by police officers going out of their way to be helpful. I don't care what Carlson thinks about Trump, it has nothing to do with the videos or what they portray. It's hard to say that Tucker is gaslighting us when the video is right there showing exactly what he is saying. Unlike the J6 Committee who presented no real evidence, allowed no cross-examination of the alleged witnesses, made fraudulent claims, and denied the release of the video.

My post could be read two ways. For clarification, I meant Carlson is on record saying doesn’t believe the lies he spews on his show.

- McCarthy should have released all the footage to the public. If it was safe enough to show Tucker Carlson’s staff, it was safe enough for everyone. By limiting access to Carlson, McCarthy’s action was no better than all those anonymous congressional members and staff that leak shit all the time.

- Carlson’s narrative is just as lame as the January 6 committee narrative. Thank Pelosi for this. A real investigative committee would have had truly bipartisan opposition with rigorous cross examination of witnesses and evidence. Instead we have cherry picked videos and soundbites from a partisan congressional committee and Tucker Carlson.

- Did security police really allow rioters inside? Haven’t seen the video that is supposedly part of what Carlson talks about. If true, was that revealed by the 1/6 committee?

In summary, a bad look for the January 6th Committee. Saving grace for them is most people outside of Wyoming were not paying attention.

The footage should be released to all media outlets. That way no single narrative is editing everything and you can get more perspectives.

The BLA George Floyd demonstrations involved thousands of people peacefully protesting. There were criminals in the areas who used those demonstrations to loot and destroy. J6 involved thousands of people coming to DC and marching to the Capital building. Some stayed back and didn't fight with police. They should have left when they witnessed thousands of insurrectionists beat and taz police with their own equipment and spray them with bear spray. Insurrectionists broke through police barricades and failed to respond to lawfully given police orders.

Addressing just those two points.

Regarding the first point I agree to an extent. That is to say the material should have been released to more than one source. I'd like to see what a Bill Maher or Joe Rogan would have to say given the same material. Of that 41,000 +/- hrs very little of it is relevant but surely subject to editorial abuse.

One the second point, you're right. Pelosi picked her points, so did Carlson. That's how an adversarial justice system works, prosecution...........defense. It's up to us to winnow the chaff.
