I hand your glass and mine and take the bottle from the bucket of ice and cajole the cork loose. It pops flying out over the balcony and into the jungle below.
Whoops.
I smile in chagrin to you as the champagne fizzes out of the bottle's top.
I guess we'll just have to drink the whole thing tonight, before it loses its suave de viv.
A smile in return as I come over to you. I tip the bottle filling your glass you were holding and then mine. I put the bottle down and take my glass and raising it up.
With your toast I clink my glass against yours before taking a drink of the bubbly. I gesture to a blanket laid on the ground with a picnic basket beside it.
I thought we could dine (among other activities) underneath the stars tonight.
I lead you over to the blanket and help you sit down first. Then I join you sitting close to your side. Then I open the picnic basket and hand you a Tupperware container of a nice lite refreshing salad to enjoy with our dom perignon.
