Threads fall where they may
What was the intent
Just what did they say?

Lost in the deeps of time
Picking up their endings
Broad smiles with their chime

What great laughs we had
Clever jibes and admiration
Yet here I sit so very sad

Just one more day here
Like before, in the thick of it
Friends again both far and near

And so I post and post
Across a familiar landscape
But a wildly different coast

Picking up the tailings
Of threads long gone
Those triumphs and failings

Those pieces of her heart
Fine parts of his soul
Preserved in whole or part
