So let's say you are reading porn (shocking I know, but there are some such degenerates on this board) and your following along thinking about how hot the story is, and it's getting you incredibly excited, when sudden;y you come across a passage that just ruins the whole experience with it's sheer stupidity. "This is so hot, this is so good, this is so... retarded". What point is it when a work stops being exciting and starts being stupid for you?

That's happened to me once...... editing remarks were left in the story. [Insert comma here] to be exact. Completely ruined what was a wonderful story.

Nothing ruins it for me more than retarded dialogue.

Good dialogue is hard to write, and what makes it so tends to be objective as hell. So people get really irritated by stuf IN ALL CAPS and other people think it's really hot. Some people like the moans and stuff spelled out, and some people just like them stated. It's all very personal.
