The TE999 sympathy thread

Awww poor TE. I told him a long time ago he needed a GPS system. He could have started walkin' home. ;)

*hugs* I do hope he gets home safely and quick too.

Poor Tom. Even his sympathy thread can't seem to stay on track. :D:devil:

Snerk, snerk. ;)

For a Floridian, being caught in the northern Midwest in a snowstorm must be an intimation of Hell on Earth. Tom, please tell us you're finally flying away from all that?

Snerk, snerk. ;)

Well, I managed to run into TE999 at the airport today, he seemed to be in decent spirits... of course that was BEFORE his flight fiascos...

Good Luck Tom.

14: Why did the pilot not listen when I told him: "Don't press that, it's the ejector seat"?

Good Luck Tom.

He told me he saw you, and yes, that was before his missed flight. Here's hoping he's finally home now.

My plane almost didn't leave Vegas on time, almost losing their takeoff slot due to someone going to the mens room just as we were about to take our place on the runway. He did it again when we were preparing to land...

And no one smacked the crap out of him? Strange people...

I have been very fortunate to have flown with no problems so far. *hugs* to TE! And we hope to hear from him soon.

Hi Troops!

TE here--bloodied but unbowed.

What an experience!

It was worth it to see everyone though. ;)

I mean what an incredible fuck-up that was tho.

And the American Airlines personnel were sooo helpful. Hah!

Anyway her I am home once more.

Thanks to Molly  for starting this theread.

And thanks to all that were concerned about me. That means a lot.

Take care y'all and I'll be on the threads later. :)

He's home! :nana:

And in a much better mood than expected

Wonder where he hid the bodies

Anyone who was in Chicago over the weekend knows how miserable my trip north was. For those of you who didn’t attend, suffice it to say that it was pure hell. I got there nearly five hours late after a dismal ride on a train full of adults, small children and even babies that had been trapped there as long as thirty hours. The aromas , the mood and the ride itself were bad enough that I’ll likely never spend another dime with Amtrak.

Yuck. :p

But that’s my luck. Apparently, my bad luck rubbed off on TE999. He’s still trapped at O’Hare right now. He missed his flight after they changed terminals on him. He made a mad dash to the opposite end of the airport only to get there in time to see the plane take off. He’s still there, miserable and angry.

The next flight won’t leave for another hour. His bags went on without him. He’s been trapped in airport hell since this morning. Send him your sympathy and a few crass jokes. He can use all the laughs he can get.

Oh no........... I rode with him to the airport on the hotel shuttle.. we had a very nice conversation..... he had no idea anything was wrong with his flight as he got to the terminal............

I know ALL he wanted to do was to just get home ASAP as he switched flights to do it............

My sympathies go out to him............

Glad you finally made it home safe ... because like we talked about on Friday, being stuck in the airport just sucks ;)

Ahh.. I see he did make it back......... very nice to see........ sorry the journey took longer than you expected..........

Phew!
Glad you're back where the sun shines and the snow is but a memory!
