The Swimming Eagle of Baton Rouge

Ever see an Eagle swimming? Doing the breast stroke no less. This footage was shot at the Mallard Lakes subdivision in Baton Rouge, LA. That's a dead Nutria in the water and Mr. Eagle is one hungry bird.

Great video Tom, thanks for finding it. We have a family of Bald Eagles that come out of the mountains and winter in a nearby wildlfe preserve. Some mornings in the trees near the lake we can see an Eagle scoping out a salmon or duck breakfast. Beautiful birds. slave_ and I watched one through her binoculars one day for quite a while. Gorgeous.
