Yeah I don't see why we can't have commentator characters, even if just for some play-by-play banter. Actually if you're still reading the thread Mr. Jester would you like to be one of those commentator characters? If anything it would be a great role for a spectator.

Someone acting as a commentator would give people waiting for a match something to do in the meantime. A couple of commentater characters who anyone could use to make comments on how a fight is going.

Yeah! That's exactly what I had in mind. We could, as a group, make up two or maybe three of them and use them the way Android suggested. It would add one more element and keep everyone involved when there wasn't a match involving them going on.

Haha, while that sounds fun I really don't think I have the chops to take ol JR or the King's seat.

But on a similar vain have you thought about allowing managers or lackeys? For people who would find the whole wrestling angle a bit daunting, but would like to get involved in the RP. Perhaps, as in the WWE, the managers can decide to wrestle if they start to feel more comfortable with the RP.

That seems very doable, I'd imagine both commentators and managers/lackeys would be able to get involved in the rp at about an equal capacity so I think it could work. We just need to figure out who would do commentating and who would play the role of a manager/lackey when they aren't actually wrestling (if they already have a wrestler character in the RP.)

Well anyways as the next match starts to get underway lets try to figure out who can be/will be a commentator and who can be a manager/lackey.

I think since I'm already the CEO I can manage being a commentator during matches. Anyone else?

I might jump in with the commentator now and then. It could be used as a device for people to comment on moves they particularly like IC during a match.

IE.

"Wow, that was an outstanding move just then Johnny." Nick Diamond shouts into the mike. "I've never seen a flying crotch lock to equal it."

"Indeed not Nick." Johnny Gomez agreed enthusiastically. "It's good thing that little lady just had a brazillian wax otherwise Anaconda would be spitting pussy hairs for the next week."

(yeah, I don't know any wrestling commentators. Maybe a guy/girl pair might work better.)

Strangely enough I think Nick and Johnny would be perfect for this lol. Sadly our wrestlers aren't made out of clay.

The tag match between Andy and Tina against Ambrosia and Anaconda is about to start. ravenblazed is back. And we're currently discussing having people in the RP who aren't wrestling also playing the role of commentators during matches or playing the role of managers/lackeys of wrestlers wrestling. That way the RP is even more active and it gives people more things to do.

I'm guessing the choice would be yours. going directly to the ring by an alternative route and making your entrance or walking round a corner and seeing Ambrosia and Tina would be equally feasible.

Has anyone got a definate choice for commentators or is it ok to invent a pair and have them announce a breaking backstage news on events?

Zorro would be next up on the queue of male wrestlers wouldn't he? Followed by Jack and Dea. You might need to do a roll call though to see which wrestlers are available at the moment. Anaconda still has to make his appearence for the tag match.

Patience, Andy. It's not like the thread's going to go bad or anything. In fact, this could work to build some animosity and create a storyline between these characters that he hasn't appeared. He can be mad at Tina and Andy for jumping in pre-match and just as mad at Ambrosia for trying something without him and maybe losing the match before it starts!

Nods I was just wondering so I knew weather the match had changed from a tag one and if I had to adjust my writing for it.And your right this could set up a intresting storyline or two to devlop.

I don't mind waiting was just asking so no rush. Also I see we've got a backstage person now looking foward to interacting with that to .

Sure you can join in Orochi, if there is a preference right now it would be female to get us closer to evening up the amount of wrestlers in the RP (we'd then have 8 male and 7 female wrestlers in the RP.)

Anyways still no contact from Zorro and I doubt Mike will step up so I'll see if Balfour will wrestle Kat in the RP backstage.

Question: Are there any actual rules for SWF matches? If there are what are they, who enforces them and how? If there aren't... don't you think there should be?
