Left-wing billionaire and Democrat donor George Soros has turned his attention in recent years to local races for prosecutor, using his money to elect “progressives” who push “criminal justice reform” and support the Black Lives Matter movement.

The rise of these Soros-backed prosecutors has coincided with a massive surge in murder and crime in many Democrat-run cities, including many where these prosecutors have implemented radical policies toward policing and incarceration.

Many of the candidates Soros has backed have received support, directly or indirectly, from a network of groups with names like “Justice & Public Safety PAC.” The Influence Watch website describes Soros’s organizations as the “‘Safety and Justice’ network, a project of left-leaning billionaire George Soros that used a network of similarly named state-level PACs to finance the campaigns of progressive Democratic candidates for district attorney in more than a dozen of America’s cities.”

Soros-backed prosecutors include:

I think there's a lot more than a dozen.

For all of their solemn braying about "our democracy," Democrats sure do like ruling by dictate, no?

No. We just have a busted system that forces us to do so, not that Republicans are worlds better about abusing the rules.

It's not hard to see why Democrats have clung to every potbellied satrap and thug the world over for the last century or so. Ency.

If you can't get what you want democratically, you get it by fiat, eh?

Add to the list Raul Torres Bernalillo County DA. Funded by Soro's groups to the tune of $1 million dollars.

Or maybe Bernie didn't go to the Soviet Union and gush over the tyranny there. Or DiBlasio in Nicaragua. Or how many sucking Fidel's big cigar in Cuba?

I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that someday we would someday become communists. – Jane Fonda, 1970

Boy, this would be the largest scandal one could possibly imagine...if it were true.

To bad it is pure fantasy and baseless....it is telling that CuckCounselor post such things.

Every word is true and acurate. Campaign finance records are open, you know.

As Pat Buchanan's American Conservative said, on Nelson Mandela's death:

But given the scale of the anti-Communist victory, wouldn’t it be more in tune with the moment for conservatives to be magnanimous, and say: you know, it’s entirely understandable why the ANC sought Communist support. Indeed, it’s entirely understandable why many groups fighting oppressive structures and regimes accepted or even sought the support of Soviet-backed groups during the Cold War. What looked like the most important moral question from the perspective of Washington would not have looked like the most important moral question from the perspective of Transkei, or any number of other places. So maybe, now that the Soviet Union is dead and buried, we should stop harping on ties to Communists as some kind of unforgivable sin, in this case and in general.

I think I'll keep on harping, especially when we're talking about people who should have known better and weren't looking for allies wherever they couldfind them. Bernie is just a commie prick.

Bernie is a better man than you.

Maybe local sheriffs should arrest these DAs and turn the cases over to US Attorneys for prosecution on grounds of conspiracy to violate the civil rights of American citizens aiding and abetting organized criminal activity, etc.

I think state legisltures need to start stepping in to compel DAs within their states to prosecute crime rather than join forces with it.

That too, but some of them are in on this corruption of our legal system.

That ain't gonna fly as a legal theory. Any such DAs were acting within the legitimate scope of their executive discretion.

I can agree with Pat as there are some people, like you, who are downright too stupid to see the danger in associating with Communists and implementing their ideas.

Mandela never implemented their ideas -- and never had any good reason to regret associating with them. And neither has anybody in American politics, on either count.

They aren't operating within their "discretion," they are derelict in their duty to uphold and prosecute the law, and it's getting people killed.
