=Idiots who don't realise they are just worthless tool for the very rich who control the government.

Truly someone that respects the fact that everything he has is thanks to the fighting man.

Ummm...I'm thinking he probably paid for that stuff himself. I know no soldiers bought me a damned thing.

How about your freedom Johnny Mayberry, without which you wouldn't have anything of material value. Or I guess that was just handed to you...?

Read the sig line. Too many arrogant Americans like to think freedom is free.

No one can give you freedom...I could live in an Iraqi prison, and be free. I'm philosophical like that.

What does killing Iraqis have to do with freedom, when we have an administration that wants to take away freedom at every turn?

I suppose you subscribe to the belief we are living in a Nazi Germany like state right now, yes...? In case you missed it, Americans have been fighting and dying for much longer than any of us have been around. To say you owe nothing to the men that fought and died for this country is ignorant.

I suppose I don't owe anyone anything, besides my parents. And we don't live in a dictatorship yet...but it will take constant vigilance to keep it that way. The government can be your enemy too, you know.

Too many other arrogant Americans think the government is perfect...we've all got flaws.

Keep up the battle Mayberry, I have no problems with people questioning their government. It's good that you can enjoy your lifestyle, freedom and everything else you've been afforded because men and women have died to protect those rights.

No it isn't perfect but it is better then anything else out there. Who ever says that the government is perfect needs to get their head out of the cloud.

Now lets go over it step by step

If it wasn't for the soilder we could be still living under British Rule
If it wasn't for the soilder this could very well be a Comunist State

If you don't think we owe the men and women who have volunteered to serve their country a big thanks then I pity you for your lack of consideration and/or your out right stupidity.

Have a good day

C'mon guys...leave CV alone.

He hasn't paid any price for the things he has. A carboard box is cheap rent...and soup kitchens serve some good free food. Don't get me started on his computer.

BTW, CV....eat shit and live.

Hmmm..including close friends and family of mine...I'm just not much for all teh 'rah rah' stuff, or the idea that freedom only comes from a gun.

You owe me thanks...I can live with that. It would be better to DO something, rather than sit on your ass and be grateful.

Simple question: Is anything justified enough to wage war...?

Yep, and if something actually presented itself, I would be on the front lines myself(actually, I wouldn't, but that's a long story)

But there are all sorts of things that don't have to do with war that serve freedom....let's not neglect those things.

Oh come on Johnny!!!! I know you don't the current guys in charge and all that BUT there aint no way in hell your gonna make me believe you TRUELY feel that way!!! I think you are a little smarter than that!

People shared your view JM.......

We buried most of them when we liberated the concentration camps.

It's off-topic, but I believe the stage is being set for a removal of the freedoms we have in this country, to be replaced with...something else, likely Christian-based. I don't think that next week they'll roll back the Constitution, but every chip off our freedom makes the whole that much more fragile. Not today, not next year, but imagine in 15 years, if we continue to have administrations that see the press as a tool of the government, and free speech as a maybe not so important freedom.

I'm not all doom and gloom, and I think America has so kick ass traits...and I want it to get even better.
