My idea for this is to have a family of Star Wars-like Force-users, but set in our modern Earth. Since ancient times, there have been very powerful bloodlines of Sith Sorcerers, some of which combined to create the legendary House of Palpatine, which rose to prominence during the waning years of the Roman Republic and were the primary architects of it's transformation into the Roman Empire, albeit behind the scenes.
With the rise of the Paladins waging a religious war and attempting to convert all sorcerers to their Order, the Palpatines vanished to the shadows during the early Dark Ages. Many centuries later, they resurfaced as a prominent noble house in the Kingdom of Sicily, but by the mid 1800s had relocated to the United States in the wake of the California Gold Rush.
The family mined some gold for themselves, but their primary goal was to set up a series of food, drink, and entertainment establishments on the Barbary Coast of San Francisco to cater to the swelling population and earn vast profits. They were widely successful, but between the earthquake in 1906 and Prohibition from 1920 to 1933, they took to the shadows once more. By the end of World War II, they had relocated to Napa Valley, where they purchased a number of vineyards and launched Palpatine Winery.
Today, House Palpatine owns a large estate in Napa Valley, while their vineyards produce wine for a number of Sicilian and Italian restaurants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, some of which they own themselves. They also have an underground library and training hall below the estate, used to educate new generations in the history of the Sith and the use of sorcery. Since the Paladins of the modern era are based out of London and primarily operate in Europe, the Palpatines need not fear them so long as they do not cause a large enough disturbance to draw attention to their magic.
To help craft a finer control of their sorcery, the Palpatines have heavily inbred, their potent magical bloodlines preventing the normal damage that would occur due to successive generations with no new genetic diversity. To the contrary -- having the bloodline essentially fold in on itself made them extremely powerful. However, the downside to this is that new pregnancies are exceedingly rare.
Usually, to maximize the chance of offspring, every male of the family, once he reaches the age of eighteen, will have sex with every female in the family that is eighteen or older, including sisters, mothers, cousins, aunts, and grandmothers. However, to encourage healthy sexual activity, the family is heavily bisexual.
There is a family coming of age tradition, called Lust Week. Once a family member reaches eighteen, their first week of adulthood is marked by having sex with every single relative in the estate, regardless of gender. They essentially have a list of family members given to them on their birthday, and check each name off once they have completed oral and penetration, both giving and receiving. Females usually wield strap-ons for the latter. By the end of the week, they are expected to turn in a list will all names checked off.
In the story of the rp, the production of new offspring seems to have slowed down even more, with no new births in nearly two decades. The last few youths turned eighteen between May and July of 2017, and so their Lust Weeks were delayed to all coincide together jointly on August 1st, for what might be the last of the ceremony for a while. Because of this, they decided to let the older family members relive their own Lust Weeks, and thus every family member has a list to fuck every other family member.
Currently, there are three generations of the family alive. The eldest male is the Patriarch, and the eldest female is the Matriarch. There are no marriages since all family members love all others equally.
The Matriarch -- Granny May -- is the only family member of her generation still living, and was also the only one of her generation who gave birth multiple times. The Patriarch is her oldest son, John, who later impregnated his mother during his own Lust Week. Again, she was the only one to get pregnant, but managed to have several boys and girls fathered by her son, John. The matter of generations was usually dictated by the mother -- even though John was second gen, because his first few children were birthed by his mother, who was first gen, his offspring were considered second gen as well. When John impregnated his eldest daughter, her children became third gen.
This is just used to reference the RP -- in reality, the family's counting of generations goes back to when they first arrived in California in 1849. Granny May is Fifth Gen, being born in 1937. She is currently eighty years old. John was born in 1955, and is Sixth Gen. He is currently sixty-two. His first child born to his mother is Miranda, who was born in 1973. When Miranda reached eighteen in 1991, her Lust Week saw her impregnated by her father with the first child of the Seventh Gen, Kylar. When Kylar had his own Lust Week in 2009, there were no pregnancies, as was the case with each Lust Week that came after, until only a few youths were left.
Your characters can be part of this last string of Seventh Gen youths who have hit eighteen this year or previously, or a Sixth Gen older character who was mothered by Granny May. More to come if people are interested.
