The Shelf Life Of Friends.

there are friends, and friends - some remain with you forever, no matter how far apart you are or how long between getting to see each other. then there are those who are on the 'we get along fine, enjoy eachother's company, don't ask much of the other but share a fair amount of personal stuff with' level - they sometimes stay right there, sometimes filter down and through into the 'loved' category, and sometimes get distanced or become distanced from me.

i tend to have this certain model of friendship that works out ok for me; the distancing or dismissing of others comes about through new input that makes me value them differently, and that's all to do with how they respond to others, situations, how my own sense of who they really are changes. it has nothing to do with money or need, though how they handle others in their life regarding that does. i cannot value people who place such store in wealth and appearances. give me a beautiful mind/heart over anything else.

It is cool and neutral, and I can associate the colour blue with some of the qualities.

Like Vishnu's blue... associated with water.

Shiva's for neelkanth (blue neck)

Krishna... no idea why he was ever depicted as blue (hence my theory that it was because dark skin was offensive). The modern images show Krishna as almost white... people have forgotten that krsna means dark. There is this famous lullaby sung to kids (I'm catholic and I know it) where Krishna asks his mother about his dark skin.

Again, just my theory. I'm no expert and not a hindu.

Krishna's been whitewashed!
