OK, with the seeming success of my Grinning Griffin, I've decided to start another sexually-orientated role play forum, with a more modern setting. Here goes:
The setting : early this millenia, 2002
NEWS REPORT EXCERPT: July 2nd, 2001
An official statement from NASA was released today, regarding the asteroid recently discovered by Professor Marcus Shaw that claimed was on a collision course with Earth, in early 2002.
They contradicted his statement, saying there was no threat involved, and that the gravitational pull of the other planets that were close to its course would cause the
asteroid to vear safely away from our planet and it would continue back outwards from our solar system...

NEWS REPORT EXCERPT : November 4th, 2001
The asteroid, now named the Shaw Rock after its discoverer, confounded NASA officials by its still apparent collision course. We at Channel 12 have yet to get a further quote from their astrophysics department, though we will keep the public informed of any progress we make in this startling development...

NEWS REPORT EXCERPT : January 1st, 2002
The asteroid, now only 3 days from its now confirmed collision with our planet, has set the people of the world into panic. Several cities across the globe have broken --- transmission ended, all communications around the planet ceased.

NEWS REPORT EXCERPT : January 3rd, 2002
Communications have at last been restored across the world. Even world leading scientists are still at a loss to explain the actual reason, but the cause has been confirmed at present to have been the Shaw Rock, which fragmented into smaller pieces onto entering the upper stratoshere, the majority of which burned up before they impacted. Loss of life over the last two days has been estimated to exceed six thousand people, but now at last, the celebrations around the world have seen an end to the...

January 4th, northern Arizona, by western shore of Lake Powell:
Professor Shaw had tracked the asteroid for over a year now, and he wasn't about to give up.
His projections - conflicting with NASA's - had indictated that several chunks of the asteriod had come to earth in this area. He didn't have the budget of NASA, and frankly he was fed up with their interference in his project. He was more than content that they were conducting their own sweep some 500 miles away in Nebraska.
He was a in his late twenties, and he although his warnings over the last year had given him more than a little infamy, he had attracted quite a few admirers on his work. Several such accompanied him on his forays, as well as his assistant, an attractive doctor of astrophysics who had left NASA to work alongside him, who obviously felt as idignant about her former employer's treatment of this affair as he did, as he looked for those fragments he was sure had struck in the area.
