What a vastly under-rated movie this is.

It's on the Sci-Fi channel right now, as a matter of fact.

It's very well acted, and it a good "popcorn" kind of movie. It has a cherished place among my videotapes.

Perhaps the finest feature of the movie is the cinematography. The use of light and shadow and subtle optical illusions is masterful and it takes a couple watchings to see things you missed the first or second time.

It is, in my opinion, the finest remakes of an old show I've ever seen. :)

Oh, my bad, I thought this was a personal ad :)

I thought you were talking about Steve Kaspar. Sorry, I've not seen the movie.

Yup, it is good, not excellent, but I have watched it a few times - there is even some humor thrown in at odd places. Much better than a lot of other crap that is on. "Event Horizon" was on today too, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it twice. Why do all Hollywood space ships have to look like the inside of a dark factory? Oh I forgot, it is because that is where they film them.

I love The Shadow. Very B movie. Plus the soundtrack is great.

You know, I've never considered it a "B" Movie. The actors in it are top flight: Alec Baldwin, Penelope Ann Miller (who, by the way, is eye-catching in every freaking scene!), Sir Ian McKellen, and Tim Curry. The music was done by (as I recall. I have the soundtrack but am too lazy to go get it) Jerry Goldsmith. The effects are definitely up there with the best of them.

It's also suitable for older kids, IMO.

Wonderful movie. :D

I think it didn't catch on that big, becuase The Shadow doesn't have the popularity of the current crop of hero movies that you see. But I thought it was a cute movie.

I don't mind "The Shadow." In a Baldwin-ey kind of way.

Kind of wanted to be a tv pilot though, didn't it? Wait, get me Sci-fi on the phone-
