Happy Saturday!!! It's been raining all night here, and unfortunately, I have heard way too many drippy-drops hit the roof overnight. I seem to have sprung a wee roof leak, too, damn it.


Oh, I become a three-Dodge owner this afternoon. I'm gittin' a '94 Ram 2500 4x4. A project with potential. I may be forced to learn how to paint.

It's supposed to rain here today, I hope it does it while I am at work...

The hell dogs have something treed, they are making quite the racket, oh well, breakfast is calling.
 
Last possum I shot took one to the head. He was playing possum but I wasn't buying it. He wasn't playing afterward.


Went to see the g/f this evening, wagering that the rains would keep the on-call calls away. At 5 of midnight, the poepoe called to say a back door has been broken into and needed "securing". That, running water, fire, and plugged-up toilets are all must-respond calls. And I had just curled up, gotten all comfy and warm, and my back was leaving me be. Motherfucker!!! At least I got paid for the drive back, too. And I got a call from Eric Cartman, the manager for the courier outfit, asking me if I'd like to do a blood run out of town. I had to turn him down. I also had to turn down two more calls from them earlier today because I was fixin' a truck to buy.


The truck is home. The mechanicals seem to be a tad better than what was represented. That's not a problem.


There's a chickenlegs joke just below the surface here . . . .

I got a big time check yesterday for $0.01. Whatever shall I do with it. The mind is boggled!
 
Yeah, but that one is like stealing from babies. Besides, how many rattles and binkies do I really need anyhow???


Happy Monday quite late!!! I overslept grossly - it seems I have forgotten how to set an alarm clock successfully/correctly. Anyway, I got up, brushed my t00fs,threw on clothes and bolted out the door, buying coffee en route. They wound up sending all my bosses to Texas for the week, leaving me in charge, as it were/is.


So in my half-awake state, I started assessing where in Hell it was exactly that I am. What I found made for a fascinating day. I dodged a couple of bullets simply by being alert enough. Also, we have a new guy who is a transfer from their site to ours - and our gain. He kicked some major ass today and could make a guy look like a genius. Part of me was skeert, but I have some damned much experience that it's all like learning to ride a different bicycle is all. The principles are the same. I assessed where we are and compared it to what has been promised. I negotiated for a few changes with rental management and got more than I asked for - without asking. It was amazingly busy, but it was a really weird kind of . . . easy.


And now I am completely worn out and ready to hit the rack. Alone!!! I don't care what she's offering. Maybe tomorrow . . . .

I am blessed with a late start today, but it also means I'll be working later, but since it is raining, it's all good.

I'm rooting for glowball warming to keep winter as mild and docile as a Basset hound.

I'm gittin' 'er dun at the projects. I expect a great big ol' attaboy when the fuhrer arrives home. And if it's not forthcoming, well, I didn't really need it anyway. I know what got done, and how.


And . . . off to hit the rack. I really could use for my back cramps to let go.

Obviously, the almanac doesn't knwo that I prayed fervently and with 1000% sincerity to Allah for a warm-n-mild winter this year. If they're right, then is there no Allah??? Could the "prophet" have been one of the greatest hoaxes in history??? Say it ain't so!!!!


Of course, I hedged my bet/prayer with a new 4x4, just in case, since I kinda agree that there is no god Allah. And there is no Hell for this non-god to send me kiting off to, so . . . .


If it's that cold, then there will be hard nipples abounding!!!
