"It's said that of all the creatures created by the Creator, humans are the most destructive. The most dangerous. Fact is, this is true.
"Our world never used to be like this, no, we never heard of screelings, bailings, banshees, wraiths, ghasts, and the likes. It was beautiful.
Children played under the moonlight without fear of the dark, our women chatted happily by the river bank without fear of Krakens... and our men, they basked in the twilight of the hunt without fear of predatory monsters.
Now we barely sleep with both eyes closed."
"Chronicler of Labradon"

THE STORY

All through his life, Aurelion has only wanted one thing, power. At the age of five, he was taken by the Order and trained to unleash his potentials... for good. Now at age 42, he has finally received the title rank wizard of the first Order. Aurelion was not satisfied though, for there was someone on par with his powers. Merlin, another wizard of the first Order.

The reason why Aurelion left the Order is unknown till this day, but rumor goes that he challenged Merlin to a duel and lost. Nothing was heard of him ever since.
A century later, Aurelion is back to our world, stronger and darker than before. He sent a letter to every city via Ravens and Crows demanding they surrender to him. As expected, the cities refused. The enraged wizard did the abominable, he broke the Orb of light that has been in the temple of Lithuan for centuries thus tearing the veil between the underworld and the land of the living.
Since then the keeper of the underworld has been sending his minions to Earth to destroy all that breath, lives or stand for the light.
But wise old Merlin has a solution. Warriors need to be called together, Men and women standing for the light, they are to find the trinket of magic and the legendary sword of light, with this they can repair the veil, defeat Aurelion and thwart the Keeper's plan forever.
They were called The Seekers. Merlin gave each of them the bracelet of O'xorn as gift (it's a sharp silver bracelet with intricate magical runes around it, O'xorn protects the wielder against mind control )
Merlin instructed them to head for Ellesingrad (El-zin-gra) to find a woman called Xeste, she was in possession of a map that led to the trinket of magic.

I am the GM of this thread and unlike other ORP's I won't be playing a character only controling NPC's and help guide the story along. This is your quest, your adventure, you determine what happens through the actions you take.
Your character will get hurt if they make wrong decisions, they might even lose their abilities and possibly their lives. But at the end no decision is bad, no action is unfortunate, for it only spice to the story.

You can setup your Bio like this.
Name: What we should call your character?
Age: How long has he/she lived?
Race: Orc, human, elf, werecat, goblin, centaurs, mixed breeds, etc..
Class: Warrior, archer, mage, Historian, Cleric etc .
Visual description: A image of your character
Written description: What is not on the image
Personality / History: Anything we should know about you
Weapon /Gear: goes with class - an Archer will definitely use bow and arrows.
Ability: one ability of your choice

STATS
Strength: How strong is he/she?
Evasion: How good can he/she evade an attack?
Magic defense: How strong is he or her against magical attacks?
Endurance: How much can one endure hits?
Intelligence: How knowledgeable is he/she?
Dexterity: How good is he/she with the hands.

Experience: 0/10

For allocating of points, I'll steal Hotcider's idea here. Points are awarded during in game battles and through word counts. Yes literacy is rewarded.
250 words = 1
500 words = 2
750 words = 3
1000 words = 4

Every character has 1 points to each of their stats and a free 5 points to distribute as they seem fit.
Once you complete your quota of experience points you gain an extra level and 5 stats points to allocate again, along with an extra ability.
I'll create an introductory post in the IC if writers show interest.
