The Search For Love (open)

"Its a long and complicated story" Harris said shaking his head "lets find you some clothes as I tell it"

Harris took her hand leading her out and murmuring for her to ignore the dead bodies scattered around the permimiter.

"I had to walk and or find a ride for the entire way" Harris explained moving towards what looked like a temporary storage room the men set up "The minute the planes fell from the sky it became chaos thankfully my father had already passed so I was more or less ready to go. I managed to get out of the city before it descended into chaos but from there I was on my own"

"I moved as fast as I could" Harris told her opening the door and sighing as he saw clothing "But it was slow going especially with every thing happening"

Lily paused at the sight of so many dead men outside. She knew that Harris had told her to ignore them, but she really couldn't. It broke her heart that things couldn't be solved peacefully, but she supposed that they had dug their own graves when they teamed up with Reyes.

"I know." Lily murmured as he opened a door and ushered her into a room that held some clothing. "I was tending to our garden when they came. I ran and fought them, but there were too many of them for me to deal with at once. I knew that you would come back and probably wonder what had happened to me, but I never dreamed that things would get this far out of control."

"I saw" Harris said his voice tight as he turned to let her change. Not that he hadnt seen it a thousand times before but.... well given what she went through he thought she might want a chance to change by herself.

"I went back to the house as soon as I could" Harris remarked "I saw the struggle and what happened I am just glad they didnt kill you.... Some would have it seems when law and order went every ones heart and soul did as well"

Lily pulled on a pair of pants that were a size too big and a shirt that was even bigger. She rolled the waist of the pants to make them fit on her hips and then went to retrieve a pair of shoes that weren't terribly big. She felt out of place after putting on the clothes, but she knew that Harris would help her find something to suit her sooner or later.

"I'm surprised they didn't try to kill me." She admitted, looking at Harris as he turned away from her. "Sometimes I wished that they had. However, I always knew that you would come."

"Trust me when I say you were far more valuable alive" Harris said noting she was dressed and turning "Slavery and slavery of woman seem to be the new status quo in most parts of the world its the only thing most people are still willing to pay for"

He pulled a pistol out of his holster and handed it to her "I taught you how to shoot for a reason" Harris told her his hand on his bow "but let me handle any trouble we find I want to get away from this place before we head in so I hope your ready to start walking"

"Harris, I don't want to carry a gun." Lily tried to explain as he handed her a pistol and told her that there was a reason that he had taught her to shoot.

She let out a long sigh as she took the weapon and tucked it into the waist of her pants, glancing towards him as he told her to let him handle any danger that came their way. She gave him a nod before she took his hand and let him lead her away from the hellhole that they were currently in.

"You may not want to carry a gun but you need to" Harris said walking with her "this world is far to dangerous now a days and if I am not around you need to be able to protect your self or me in case I cant"

He turned taking her into his arms "I know its intense" He said softly kissing the top of her head "but this is our life now for better or worse lets find a town to rest in and we can reconnect but for now please be wary"

"You know I've never liked them." She said as he stopped and gathered her up into his arms, kissing the top of her head. "I wish we could go back to before. Our little house is probably long gone by now, huh?"

The house had been small, all that the both of them could afford, but it had been perfect in her eyes. Just enough for Harris and her...perhaps a little one in time as well. It had a vegetable garden out back which he had planted for her and she had tended to right up until the last moment before she had been taken.

"It was in ruins" Harris replied taking a painful swallow as he glanced back at her "Looted clean and some one even had a fire fight in it by the time I got back most if not all of our stuff was already gone"

Harris began walking up the path his bow out and ready. His shoulders were sqaure and set clearly some one who had become okay or at least knew the world they now inhabited.

"I wish I could tell you theres a place like that for us" Harris told her glancing back "I do but for now we have to keep moving.... Until we find some where safe"

"And I dont know when that will be"

"So, we'll always have to be on guard." Lily said as she glanced towards Harris, walking alongside him as they made their way away from the school. "I'm not sure that that's the kind of life that I wanted to live, but I know being with you everything will be alright."

"Unfortunately its the world we now live in" Harris replied glancing back at her as they continued down the cracked street "I wish I could say it wasnt or that there was a place untouched by all this but if there is I havent found it yet"

"The people in the next town are a decent folk at least" Harris told her moving his bow to his other hand and holding her hand "we can rest there for the night and then figure out what we want to do"

"That sounds like a plan." Lily said, squeezing his hand tightly as they kept walking down the old cracked road.

She hadn't been free in a long time. It felt good to simply walk where she wanted to go, holding Harris's hand. It was almost as if she could imagine the time before all of this had started. He had tried his hardest, but he hadn't saved her from hell. She would bear those scars for the rest of her life and they would simply have to work through them.

"I want a good, hot meal first." She said. "And then a nice, long bath and a soft bed."

"Well we can see if we can get that for you" Harris said smiling at her. They walked a few more minutes until finally they arrived at the town.

It was a small affair a prison turned into a safe castle like fortress. Thankfully the guards had booted out all the extreme prisoners before they moved the towns people in. Harris bartered for them until finally they were in the cafeteria eating a hot meal.

"No bath im afraid" Harris told her eating and looking around "But there is a communal shower and one thats for woman only if your feeling shy" He remarked eating and holding her hand.

"Harris, consider where I've been during all of this. I'm not shy." Lily said as he took her hand and she immediately started to devour the meat and potatoes that were in front of her. "A shower will be just as good as a bath. Then, we can sleep for days."

"I guess that is true" Harris said glacning at her and frowning. He opened his mouth as if to ask her about her time in captivity. However the memories and horror stories he had heard from the girls he rescued caused him to hesitate.

Maybe it was better of not knowing

"Uh I am not sure how long we can stay" Harris remarked rising up his dinner finished "But a nice sleep sounds good I never thought it would be in a prison cell though" He joked snorting.

"Did you want to shower together?" He asked her hesitating "Or seperate?"

"Let's shower together. I'm not letting you out of my sight any time soon." She said as she finished the last of her own meal and walked with him to place the plates away. "Besides, I've missed the hell out of you. As soon as we're done in the shower and have a bed to ourselves, I want to welcome you home properly."

Harris almost stumbled at her words. His eyes widened and he turned taking her as they both placed their plates by the dishwasher station.

"You mean that?" He said raising an eyebrow as he took her hand and led her down the cell block "I mean I was hoping but given what happened to you.... what you went through I wouldnt be surprised if you need some more time to be like that with me again"

He had no doubt she had been raped during her time in slavery. He also had no doubt a lot men had been cruel to her or maybe even taken her. He loved her despite that wanted her all the same.... but it was some thing she went through some thing he would help her through.

They reached the shower area. There were a few men and woman showering, all pretense of modesty had gone away now that some thing like a decent shower was a rarity. Harris turned to her leading her away and over to a secluded spot that was sparse.

"You sure about this?" He asked pushing off his dusty and worn traveling cloak.

"Harris, listen...no matter what happened in the past, I still love and want you. Yeah, it was horrible, but I always knew that you were going to come for me. No matter what. Maybe I'm just not ready to think about everything that happened." Lily said softly as he led her into the shower room where men and women were showering together.

"I'm positive, babe." Lily murmured as she hugged him tightly, her head resting against his chest for a long moment. "If things get to be too much, I'll let you know."

"Okay if you say so" He said shrugging and leaning in to give her a kiss. He moved away and with a quick methodical speed shedded the rest of his clothing. He was still a handsome man with a large imposing figure. While his cock wasnt as large as Reyes it was still a decent size and it hung between his legs as he got into the shower and started the water.

"Oh god hot water" He said moaning in pleasure "I cant believe our luck!"

Lily had to laugh as she shed the clothing that was too big for her and joined Harris under the hot spray of the jets. She grinned at the feel of hot water washing over her body. She let out a moan of her own, letting the spray wash away her worries and the soreness in her muscles. It had been a long time since she had enjoyed a luxury like this.

"That's why I stick with you, Harris. You always seem to know just where we need to go." She said with a laugh as she ducked under the spray to wet her hair.

"Oh the only reason you like me huh?" Harris teased pulling her into his arms and giving her a deep passion fueled kiss.

When they finally came back up for air he washed her his touch gentle and sweet compared to what she had only 24 hours ago. He took his time not minding and even reveling in it as he took care of her.

"Now thats better" He murmured running his hands up and down her back and smirking "I almost forgot just how good you felt"

He leaned in kissing her shoulder blade and then ducking under the water to take care of himself.

"The only one." Lily said with a laugh as Harris teased her and pulled her into his arms for a nice, passionate kiss.

God, she had missed him, she thought to herself. She had missed his kisses, his touch, the very sight of him. Why had they been so stubborn before when it came to marriage, she asked herself as he pulled back from the kiss and ran his hands over her back.

As they finished the shower, she found herself smiling at him. He made her so incredibly happy. No matter what had happened to her, and there certainly would be nightmares and scars to deal with, she was happy with Harris.

"Well now I dont know about you but I feel much much better" Harris said turning off the shower and stepping out.

"I wonder if they have a washer machine or at least a place to wash clothes" Harris remarked looking at his dusty traveling clothes. He made a mental note to ask and instead pulled on a fresh pair of jeans and a simple black T shirt from his pack. He stuffed his traveling gear and or his combat gear into his pack and turned to her threading their fingers together.

"Its been a long day" He said reaching out cupping her cheek "shall we turn in for bed my love?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Lily grinned at Harris as he commented on feeling better. She kissed his cheek as they stepped out of the shower and started to dress again. She had nothing else but what she had come to the jail wearing. Instead, she borrowed another shirt from Harris and pulled it on, the shirt falling to the middle of her thighs.

"Maybe there's something that I can get that fits a little better than what we found." She commented as he talked about washing his clothing.

"I think I could sleep forever if given the chance." Lily said as Harris touched her cheek gently.

"Were definitely going to have to get you some proper clothes" Harris remarked glancing back at looking at her outfit with a frown "I mean dont get me wrong I love seeing you in my shirt and nothing else but.... not the best outfit for trekking it in the wasteland"

He grabbed his pack and swung it over his shoulders "I saw a market when we came in we will have to barter for some clothes but it shouldn't be a problem for now though lets get some sleep"

He reached down threading their fingers together. He led her out of the communal type showers and down the long corridors of the prison an effort had been made to make it look less like a cell and more like an actual room.

But they hadnt done the best job

"Well home sweet home I guess" Harris said resting on the bars as he led her in "Its better than some of the places I have had to sleep so far"
