My pardon's if this has been mentioned on the GB, but, I don't have time to scroll through all the sex threads. I mean, political threads! I posted this on myspace. Excuse me for any grammar errors, as I am drunk. 
A Cure for the Carbon Footprint!!!!
Yeah! The brainiacs have finally discovered a way to reduce our carbon footprint!!!
Eat kangaroo's!! No kidding, or should I say, no shit? Pardon my cussing butt, you will understand after you read this little jewel.
Before I post a link, here are a few tidbits.
"The belching and farting of millions of farm animals is a major contributor to Australia's greenhouse gas emissions, Professor Ross Garnaut noted in a major report to the government on global warming." (in other words, go drive your favorite SUV, it's all on the cows. That's not a new observation, btw.)
"Kangaroos, on the other hand, emit negligible amounts of methane gas."
Not only can they box, they don't fart like boxers! Woot!
Holy crap! Listen to this bit of , hey, let's raise prices in the name of....well, whatever!!
"If farmers were included in a system requiring industry to buy permits for the gas they produce, the cost of meat would rise and could lead to a change in eating habits, Garnaut said in the 600 page report released Wednesday."
"For most of Australia's human history -- around 60,000 years -- kangaroo was the main source of meat," he said."
Gee, I wonder what the temperature trend was then?
Answer: It doesn't matter! The Earth's 'climate change' is a naturally occurring 'phenomena'. I can sum it up in two words. IT HAPPENS!!! Hah!
"It could again become important. However, there are some significant barriers to this change, including livestock and farm management issues, consumer resistance (how dare they resist!!) and the gradual nature of change in food tastes."
In short, for those that remember Solyent Green, look out!! They want to change our food tastes. Good Lord! Somebody grill me a freakin' steak!

Uh oh! "They" are going to regulate your wallet here!
"This would be more than enough to replace the lost lamb and beef production, and kangaroo meat would become more profitable than cattle and sheep as the price of emissions permits increased."
Did someone actually say... emissions permits???
Here is some more proof of man's contribution to greenhouse gasses.

"Despite being the national animal and appearing on the Australian coat of arms, millions of kangaroos are slaughtered in the wild each year to control their numbers and much of the meat is used for pet food."
Well, praise Fido and Tiger for helping the global warming problem! Or should we damn them for senseless slaughter?
"The idea of farming them for human consumption is controversial, but many health-conscious Australians already eat kangaroo meat.
'It's low in fat, it's got high protein levels...'"
