But first a word from our Sponsor.

"FredEx, I got a truck, you got a box. I'll take the box, give you a recipt and then lose your box. but it's ok, the box is insured for $100, if you can prove we lost it and prove you are who you say you are, we'll pay that $100 in six months minus a $75 processing and Legal fee. But look at your options, you can trust it to the government, or the guys in the big brown trucks that say 'Oops' on the side

"When it absolutely, positively HAS to be somewhare over night.... FredEx We can lose your valuables just as quick as the next guy"

So long story short.... (Too late?)

Sent out Cloudy's new computer on Wed. Mailboxes Etc. says it will get there on Fri. (sound familiar, Vella?) Tracking shows it was delivered and left at the front door on Sat. (Sound familiar, Vella?) Cloudy was home all day Sat and never saw the FredEx truck. Never heard a knock on the door. Never got the computer.

So after several calls to the high tech voice recognition automated service center... ( "NO! I didn't say 'Shipping and tracking', I said 'REP'! ) and several blatant threats of FBI investigation this morning, Cloudy finally has her computer. Only to find her DSL is out.

The SBC tech will be there tomorrow to fix it and she'll be on here the second he steps out the door, if not sooner. ;)

Till then, she send buckets of love for everyone. (And I'm only keeping a little of it for myself this time) She has been going stark raving bananabas without you all.

I imagine she'll be a posting fool by tomorrow evening. :D

I'm sorry Dran, Cloudy, I know that's exceedingly frustrating, but I'm laughing my ass off, too. Great rant!

:D

and :( for Cloudy...

*runs off to the store to get the fixins for Cloudy's welcome home party*

:rose:

Cloudy says thanks for the support and she can't wait to get her new story written on this computer. She has a real word processor now. :)

Well some good news from the Cloudy front at last. Good deal.

Dran, don't you hate those damned companies who can't be bothered to answer their phones with a real person?

Dranoel you shoulda shipped it with the brown truck guys, they cost a little more but they lose less packages and the tracking system is more accurate. I get stuff from fredex but don't ship nothing with them. Tell Cloudy to just have the DSL techie follow the way the fredex truck came in and he will find the downed lines.

Hope this helps. See ya.
