Ask For More said:I found "Lord of the Rings" quite boring actually....it took me about a month to get through the first and I gave up reading the second book because I just couldn't do it.
The best book I've read that springs to mind right now is "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson. There's no term that I can use to summarise it because it's the most unique book I've ever read. It's a sci-fi book but there's so much more to it than sci-fi....he incorporates philosophy, religion, and culture in the central themes of the book. To me it's a masterpiece!
Somebody else please read it and agree with me![]()
