The reason ~

I want to find a real and abiding love. I want to find it with the one I am with, but I am afraid I never will. I can re attach, I don't feel that I am equal to the task.
 
I'm to stubborn to do anything else. When I was 5 I was pronounced clinically dead. When the doctor left the room to tell my parents I started breathing again on my own and nearly gave the 2 nurses cleaning me up heart failure. There is something out there that calls to me and keeps making me put one foot in front of the other. Now the 2 yr old feeds life into me when I need it most. Even when I want to cry and give up I know I never will, well I may cry but I'll never give up.

My two sig lines on one of my emails reads...

'The past makes me, the present sings to me and the future enthralls me!'

'Darlin, if I didn't laugh I'd cry. If I cried I'd yell. If I yelled I'd throw things. So bring it on, I'll laugh until I die, you haven't broken me yet!'

I'm here for my daughter. I can't do a pic, but trust me, she's an angel. She deserves every bit of my energy and love. I'm quite fond of another angel as well, but she's got a lot more of the :devil: in her than my little one (thank goodness!). She keeps me going when I feel like I'm too tired or beat down to make it. And did I mention the :devil: thing? It's quite appealing...
 
Even when it's tough, it's more interresting than the alternative.

Because happiness is not a grand unreachable ideal, it's the sum of all the silly little things we experience every day, that has the ability to make us smile.
 
I'm still here because I have too much to accomplish. I have stories to tell and a mark to make on this world. I have to use my strength to help the ones I love who can't make it on their own. I have to use my inner peace to help them find theirs. Most of all, I'm still because I have a stubborn and relentless optimism that cannot be crushed, no matter what happens. There is nothing in this world that can kill my spirit or my hope. I love life.
 
I am here for my boys, not just because they need a father, but they need that wizards still wield power, that "A knight is sworn to valor. His heart knows only virtue. His blade defends the helpless. His word speaks only truth. His wrath undoes the wicked" that magic exists, that wisdom and charm and grace are more important than bling or cool or popular. They need to see a man can cry, and can also end a fight with nothing more than a steely glare. The world they will inherit will be woefully short of men who are men, neither cro-magnon chest thumpers nor shells of ineffectiveness.

I am also here because there are friends who need me, either wielding my axe beside them in battle, or holding their hand in dim candle light, or dancing with them in summer rains.

I am here to bring the things I hold dear to light, and not let precious treasures disappear as vandals crowd the gates.

I am here.

i'm here because the one time in my life i felt like i couldnt go on my best friend was there to talk me out of it and help me get through the hell i was in. its not that she was only there for me. she knew what to do. and she knew intuitively that she couldnt leave me alone and that i didnt want to live anymore.

i'm here because life is good. i'm here because friends are awesome to have. i'm here because i want more kisse and hugs. i'm here because i love my kids and i want to give them the best life i can. i'm here because i can sometimes make people smile.

i'm here because i have to be.
