Don't you hate it when that happens?

I've got a job interview tomorrow, and I need to brush up on some tech stuff, so I've got to close this browser window or I will not get it done and sound like a clueless Induhvidual tomorrow.

So - later dudes.

Good luck with your job interview, STG.

Hey Cherry, Sweetie.

Takin' a break before I go crosseyed...

Good luck STG, I'm sure you'll be smashing ;)

Yeah, well it is just a phone interview to see if they really want to interview me face to face. It is some cool tech, but something I really haven't touched too much before (except in a very general way) - but then that is kind of the story of my life; going from one cool tech area to another.

We'll see what happens - I can survive without a job for quite a while, but I've got some projects I want to do that require money, and KTM is coming out with a new bike next year that I might want, so I guess I should get some real money coming in.

If only my previous employer had gone public I could have retired by now.

I heartily recommend that you go into the yard, pick out a good sized stick, and beat the crap out of reality next time it gets so forward and intrudes. The nerve of that creep.

:) Good luck.

I would, but reality is a coward; it either calls on the phone, emails me, or comes in the mail (in the form of demands for my limited stash of cash - the nerve of those credit card companies!). ;)

Everybody - don't worry about me being nervous or choking up; I have been interviewed and I have interviewed others so much I am very relaxed during the process. There is no need to be nervous - it can even be fun to meet new people this way.

since we have yet to recieve an update from STG ....:p
The interview is this afternoon. Other than confirmation that it happens I probably won't have much to say about it; I have learned over the years that how I see an interview go down, and how the interviewer saw it go down are often two different things. I have twice been hired by a company I thought I had totally flubbed; once so totally that I moved to California, only to be there a week before being called back to Seattle with a job offer.

We'll see. I am sitting here reading one of LC's network protocol books to brush up on pertinent tech stuff - its been years since I've played with networks, but comms of any kind have always been a keen interest of mine. That is why I got my EE degree instead of a CS degree; bit twiddling bored me - little did I know it would become a passion and that digital comms would be predominant over analog comms.

*slaps forehead*

I always seem to forget that you're three time zones behind me!!

Okay CK (hey that rhymes! ;) ) - you wanted a report.

I just spent about 30 minutes talking with the guy who runs the product devo group and I thought it went well. He said he would call back. I thought I made a decent impression - but who knows for sure? Not me.

We'll see - I learned a long time ago that you've got to spread yourself out and not count on any one employer until you show up for your first day. Until then anything can and does happen.

WooHoo .. umm, I think. Yay for STG! You sound pretty confident of yourself anyhow, even if you're unsure of the impression made. And you're right, nothing really counts until you're in the thick of things. But I'm happy for you anyhow:)
