A family in need of healing finds a ring housing the beautiful Djinn, Laresa.

Up front, an apology and an explanation.

While I am happy to read, vote and comment on other offerings here, may I please beg off until October 16 at the earliest? Reason? I have an English exam on October 15 and the revision is driving me crazy, particularly as my memory is appalling these days. UK Open University course, 'Exploring the English language' - fascinating, but so much to revise!

Anyway, apology/explanation out of the way. I have a story I really would like some more feedback on. Posted in July 2002 (yeah, long time ago) it has amassed a total of 124 votes since then, compared to almost 600 since July this year for my Nude Day contest winner. I think the reason it's so quiet is that it's in Chain stories. Bit of a dead-end, unless one is in the chain, and of course the story predates the PC system, so has only three. The story is in the 'Talisman' chain, the Talisman being the only common factor in the chain, except that the stories were posted in historically chronological order, with Killermuffin's Roman-era tale being part one. Mine is post-Napoleonic-wars, circa 1816-20 and would probably be in Romance if it wasn't a chain story. It's 'Talisman chapter 4: Lucy McFey' and you'll find it here.

Re-edited to add: It's about a woman, virtually penniless after nursing her father through a long illness, who has to take the post of housekeeper to the new owner of her home, a retired cavalry colonel. It's one of my favourites of my own work.

Finding Karen 256 votes, Romance. I'd very nearly scrapped this one in frustration with all but the last scenes complete when Danielle talked me out of it and nudged me in the right direction.

With a touch of Old West and a bit of Little House on the Prairie ( I wasn't surprised when someone mentioned this in the comments *laugh* ) this is the story of a woman with no memory of her past who wanders up on a lonely man's doorstep in a blizzard, nearly frozen to death.

I somehow left out a line or two during edits that resulted in some pretty scathing comments on this one originally. I still feel like an ass over it, even after putting the critical lines back in with an edit.

It Cuts Both Ways 144 votes, Loving Wives. I just had to see what would happen if I jumped into those shark-infested waters. I came away more or less unschathed initially, but picked up a really weird comment recently and a moderate version of the typical LW rant just yesterday.

Since Gabby picked a story yesterday I decided to add my choice. Written for the category that scares even the bravest Literotican the story stumbled out of the gate and languished with a rating of under 3.75 for the first couple of months. Then, after a series of site sweeps the story, to my great surprise, suddenly had an [size=+2]H[/size]. I hated losing the votes (over 60 documented so far) but fortunately it still has over my cut-off point of 200. The heroine of the story, Sarah, contrary to the common perception, wasn’t in fact based on the famous Literotican of the same name. In fact she was based on a teacher I had in my sophomore year of high school. She was, quite simply, gorgeous!

A new story by one of Literotica’s up and coming young authors debuted yesterday in the always interesting ‘Loving Wives’ category. Although scouries doesn’t usually write in these shark infested waters, in this tale the tall Floridian demonstrates the full range of his writing talents.

Set in Daytona Beach, Florida, home of NASCAR’s famed ‘Daytona 500’,’Oh Sarahhh’ delves into the rocky marriage of a beautiful teacher from Syracuse, N.Y. whose sexual naiveté is shattered by a big cocked, blond student from the wrong side of the tracks.

The lovely Sarah, who suddenly understands the ecstasy of being the plaything of a full sized man, tries to somehow salvage her marriage to the much older Bruno, a dull and poorly endowed banker.

One southerner anonymously wrote: I fucking hate it, she would have been kicked out the door when she admitted to fucking the guy the first time. Eat her pussy? Most husbands would shove a shotgun up her nasty cunt and pull the trigger, blowing her filthy guts all over the wall. This story is utter garbage. A little over the top perhaps!

Another however, a pretty, twenty-something divorcee from Topeka, Kansas, Cheryl, wrote as follows: Well done scouries! You’ve perfectly captured the feelings of a young bride when she finally realizes her husband simply isn’t good enough.
