I reaaaallly hate to ask, but I was wondering if I should expect longer than normal delays? I've had a story pending 3-4 days without a view.

If one of mine goes for 5 days pending without a view, I
re-submit

that usually give it a jump start.

Why do those words sound familiar seasparks? :D

I call it a kickstart... a good swift kick up the butt >^..^<

My first took 12 days.

I've had four that took 24hrs.

I've two that haven't had a look yet, after 3 days. They do their best, but have a hell of a lot of stuff to get through. At least you know they are under consideration - don't help the frustration much though:)

Maybe they're changing how they do things at Lit.

I submitted a story on the 15th, then, because it is long, I made a few corrections on the 16th, so that reset it.

After the initial submission, I got 2 views instantly. My resubmission caused me to get a view (me going into it), then got two views instantly again.

Instantly means within a couple of hours on the first time, a few extra on the second. No additional views since then.

The reason I say they may be doing things different is that I've normally gotten from 15 to 50+ views in a day of submitting. I think they had different people reading the stories, or offering them to others.

Of course, as usual, Lit never says anything about their processes. I'm in my 5th day of waiting now, but kind of expected this from all the recent messages.

No views means it didn't submit. No views after a couple days , I mean. If you have no new edits or second thoughts, hit the pending link, and then the SUBMIT button again.

Posting can take a while, as we all know; but if there have been views, all is as it should be, as far as I know.

I had two like that for three days, so have given it a try.

I did it, and it now has its 3 views as per normal! Thanks  I was just a bit worried that nobody had looked at it even once in all that time.

Mismused --> 50+ views?? Wow! I only get a standard 3 views before it is posted! Do you write controversial stuff? ;)

===========================

wish,

No, nothing controversial unless you're a part of the Republican Far Right. :D

I write mostly lesbian stories. The one that just got approved today, Almost Blinded To Love, however, only had 2 views per submission (I resubmitted it the day after I originally submitted). That was the first time I haven't had 20+ views, and yes, over 50 once, in quite a few submissions (I took most of them back to see about a possibility of publishing them, in case you wondered where they're at).

Love's Melody had a lot more views when it got submitted. Like I say, I think they're doing things differently at Lit, but we'll never know because they're not of the habit of sharing much of anything with us.
