The Quenching of a Serial Killer

Hugh just smirked and glanced over to Cady and said, "Now... this isn't a sorority now... treat my new girl well..."

Elaine giggled again. She was always a giggler when she got drunk. He knew this well from a party they had had out at the lake last year for the company. Elaine had found herself in his orbit nearly the entire time and a couple of bottles of wine later... wine she had drank alone, cornered him and put her ass on his lap trying to be flirty. He was sure she had seemed flirty in her own mind, but a drunkard slurring her words was not flirty to him at all. He had managed to escape her clutches and wound up leaving the party a bit on the early side just to be safe. He liked her quite well and hated to have had to kill her. It would have brought too much attention to the surgical center.

He looked to Cady and said, "Do you mind if I have a quick word with you?" He tipped his head just off the patio a few feet away.

She nodded and he led her to a spot that was not nearly as busy and turned his back on the secretary circle and said, "Listen... I... I am not trying to tell you who to be friends with, but be careful with Elaine. She can be quite... pushy the more drink she gets into her. Other than that, I..."

"You aren't talking about me are you?" Elaine said a little too loudly as she held up her wine glass, sloshing some of her wine otu of the glass into the grass.

Hugh smiled and turned to look at Elain saying, "Of course I am. You are a dangerous woman hun... I thought you knew that?"

His smile was all charm and finesse which caused Elaine to slosh a bit more wine, turn beet red and said, "Oh go on sexy boy!"

Hugh's face turned red and wondered if perhaps it wouldn't be too much of a price to kill her instead. It was only with the giggle next to him from Cady that the irritated beast settled down a bit. He looked at her and their eyes locked once more and the beast who wanted to kill... began to purr... Perhaps it was in the moment... or the drink though he hadn't had any, but there was something about the way she was looking at him in that moment which made that monster in him curl up into a little content ball of fur and purr.

He said, "You umm... wouldn't fancy a walk would you? If I recall your record, your place is a few blocks that way... it's a dangerous place with that Ripper guy out there.... I would be honored to escort you safely back to your home... I mean... if you have had enough of the ladies here..." He blushed and smiled at her hoping for a certain answer.

“Now... this isn't a sorority now... treat my new girl well.”

Sometimes it really sucked to play the naive girl who didn’t know any better. Thankfully, Cady wasn’t that at all and had been drinking her wine slowly so that Elaine wouldn’t feel the need to refill her glass. Elaine also seemed to get drunk really quickly.

"Do you mind if I have a quick word with you?"

She nodded her head and turned her attention to the girls.”I’ll be back.”

Dr.Holmes led her to a more private spot away from everyone else.

"Listen... I... I am not trying to tell you who to be friends with, but be careful with Elaine. She can be quite... pushy the more drink she gets into her. Other than that, I..."

“No, I appreciate it. I’ve dealt with girls like her before. “ It was cute that he wanted to protect her from the so called mean girls of the office but she knew she would be fine.

"You aren't talking about me are you?"

"Of course I am. You are a dangerous woman hun... I thought you knew that?"

"Oh go on sexy boy!"

Cady stood there awkwardly as Elaine drank and flirted very loudly. The whole bar could probably hear her. Dr.Holmes face seemed to turn red at Elaine’s words and Cady couldn’t tell if he was blushing or angry.

She placed her hand on his chest and smiled up at him. If he was mad, she was silently letting him know to just ignore her.

Drunk women could be idiots and Elaine didn’t seem to be the exception.

"You umm... wouldn't fancy a walk would you? If I recall your record, your place is a few blocks that way... it's a dangerous place with that Ripper guy out there.... I would be honored to escort you safely back to your home... I mean... if you have had enough of the ladies here..."

She glanced behind her as Elaine and some of the others just seemed to continue to drink themselves into oblivion. Even Lisa seemed to be enjoying herself way too much. Way more than an HR manager should do.

Cady turned back to Dr. Holmes. “Sure, I’d like that. I was getting bored anyways.” she held up her drink. “Its just sparkling water but I dont think they caught on.”

She walked back over to the women. “Thanks for the invite you guys. I had fun! Im gonna head home, Im tired.” She didn’t let them question where she was going or who she was going with before grabbing her purse and walking back over to Dr. Holmes. “I’m ready to go when you are, Dr. Holmes.” and let him lead her out.
