Who watched this?

I was skeptical, but holy shit, it was amazing!

I was sad it's only seven episodes. I think the actress who played Beth deserves an Emmy.

As did I and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I understand that a sequel is in the works which is disappointing. I thought the ending was perfect.

Yes, it absolutely was perfect.

I don't think that they should do a sequel.

Unless maybe they explore her relationship with Benny, or Townes? But honestly, I feel that it resolved as it should.

It was a great series.

And yeah, the actress playing Beth - Anya ... can’t think of her last name - did a phenomenal job. It took me a couple episodes to recognize her as the survivor in Split.

I haven't finished it yet, watching it with Hubby and we're up to episode 4. Love it, and was hoping it was a real story but alas, just fiction.

We watched it shortly after Halloween when some friends suggested it. We loved it, and its whole style/look.

I agree. I really like the limited series vibe. You get to know the characters more and there's more plot development than a movie, but it still comes to an end.

Totally enjoyed this series. Anya Taylor Joy was outstanding. The entire cast was well thought out and believable. I will look forward to a second series, however, the one could have stood by itself!

I loved the final episode, where she tells off the religious zealots.

Not very often you'll see a series illustrate how that type of thinking is more of an attack on atheism than Communism.

Brilliant series. She's also in the 2020 version of Emma, which is worth watching if you like that sort of thing.

This looks like a 100% liked it, and I'm not going to disagree. It was really well done. Interesting and uplifting.

it's a great show, but they could've lost the depraved bisexual french girl bit. that trope is older than dirt and should fuck off already. still, the reveal was a blink and you'll miss it moment (and apparently it's from the book not that that matters) and doesn't ruin the show in anyway. it just would've been nice if they'd come up with another reason for her to lose that match.

still, minor complaint. it was a solid series and i will rewatch the fucker. i liked it that much.

I hear you, but it did not bother me. I guess I saw it as going hand in hand with her rebelliousnes, like the booze and drugs.

I heard that the matches she sees as visions on the ceiling are actually Grand Master's matches. Kinda cool.

Chess is getting increaingly popular with the younger population, some chess streamers are able to make a living just from streaming chess.

I'm a bit of a history buff, it tickled me the scene where her adoptive mother sends her to buy cigarettes with a note! My how times have changed.

Very engaging series.

I didn't watch the show, but I had a nap today with a dream about a chess game. My opponent made a great move, but bumped the board in excitement and scattered the pieces.
