The Pyramids

I have never been persuaded that the Great Pyramid was built solely by the Egyptians using only the technology we currently attribute to that period. One of the reasons is the basalt foundation itself. It covers roughly 13 acres and is often claimed to be level to within about half an inch across its entire surface. If those measurements are accurate, it represents an extraordinary feat of surveying and engineering, one that would challenge even modern builders. At the very least, it deserves a more serious explanation than it is often given.
`they used water levelling techniques and certain tools.

It's actually insulting to ancient people to try and pass off what they accomplished as requiring some sort of mystery intervention.

People in the past were no less intelligent than people today (observations of collapsing intelligence in modern people notwithstanding).

They just didn't have all the technology and tools we currently have.

If the ancient Egyptians didn’t build the pyramids, explain the bent pyramid.

It’s an earlier failed attempt at pyramid building. The builders used the same materials and techniques as at Giza, but the top has a shallower slope where they realized halfway through it was too steep.

Not the sort of mistake more experienced engineers would make.

The largest stones used in the Great Pyramid of Giza—the massive granite beams in the King's Chamber weighing up to 50 to 80 tons—were quarried in Aswan, traveling a distance of roughly 560 miles (900 kilometers) down the Nile River.

To carry an 80-ton stone by water, a wooden transport barge or flat-bottomed boat needs to be roughly 65 to 200 feet long and 16 to 40 feet wide, depending on the era of design and safety margins. Historically, ancient Egyptian records (such as inscriptions for obelisk barges) detail monumental wooden barges up to 200+ feet long and 70 feet wide to handle multi-hundred-ton monoliths. :)

Oh well. I'm just a stupid archaeologist.

What tools? 13 acres of that kind of flatness on basalt rock can't be copper. Basalt rock is significantly harder than copper on the Mohs scale. Basalt ranks between 5 and 6 (and sometimes up to 7), whereas pure copper has a hardness rating of only 3. Stainless steel is about as hard as Basalt. They didn't have steel tools. That base is made up of separate basalt stones laid and fitted together and then flattened, over 13 acres. A monumental task that would have, at best, taken years itself to accomplish. Then on top we have a 6-million-ton pyramid.

I didn't say they didn't build smaller pyramids. They may have tried to build many after discovering and repurposing the bigger ones. If they did build them all, then the known history about Egyptian civilization and technology is incorrect or simply made up by academia.

Incorrect and/or incomplete knowledge of the past doesn't mean one needs to invoke fantastical mysteries or ideas for how the pyramids got built.

The bent pyramid was built before the Great Pyramid at Giza. It provides direct evidence along with the other pyramids of Sneferu of the Egyptians honing their Pyramid-building skills leading up to the Great Pyramid.

That's the theory but where is the proof?

Are you starting to figure it out???

🤔

MAGAts are morons.
If we used your demonstrated intelligence as a baseline to calculate Rightguide's, even with an exponential curve, the world's entire supply of paper would run out before seeing how much higher his score is compared to yours.

🙄

You’re a Canadian MAGAt, so you clearly aren’t intelligent enough to recognize / realize that I purposely speak to MAGAts in the only manner they appreciate (an insulting, dumbed down manner). I mean, it worked for DonOld & the MAGAt republican politicians…

😑

Also:

Civility is wasted on MAGAts / sociopaths.

Hope that ^ helps.
