Democrat loons are getting some push back for their insane policies such as sanctuary cities where Mexican criminals are welcome and embraced when they come and hurt innocent people. Democrats believe average Americans deserve to be hurt.

Humans been around a long time, aint nuthin new under the Sun, so we know whats likely and unlikely.

Democrats who support sanctuary cities are not motivated by malevolence, but by poorly thought out benevolence.

But the outcome is the same, either way. And the meaning of anything is the outcome you get. Another way of saying it is, IT AINT WHAT WE LIKE BUT ITS WHAT WE WANT.

Don't Wanna Know--Can't Make Me Learn

We can't allow that excuse anymore--that if a politician's impulses are good, we have to give them a break if the results are poor. Some Democrats, a few, know exactly what they are doing and how they are negatively affecting the culture. Most Dems (and a few Pubbies) just want to be judged by their lofty goals and never, ever want to go back and look at how little they have actually accomplished, even after decades and a trillion dollars have been spent. Johnson's War on Poverty is probably one of the best examples of that.

Success isn't hard to measure. All know what success is and how its acquired. That is, people devote their time and toil to creating what they and others want, and they trade the surplus for what the other person has surplus of. As much as possible people mind their own affairs and cause little harm to the community. None of this is political prescription, its how success works. If youre marooned on an island people cooperate for survival when some fish, some collect bananas, some collect fire wood, some collect water, some guard against predatory animals, etc.

A Few New Masters

I guess I have to disagree with you. In an agrarian society, I agree that success is not hard to measure--either you survive or you starve, you cooperate or you do not and you then reap the consequences of your actions. However, in our sophisticated urban society, people have excess time--they are not necessarily spending it devote their time and toil to creating what they and others want, and they trade the surplus for what the other person has surplus of. They do not have to cooperate for survival when some fish, some collect bananas, some collect fire wood, some collect water, some guard against predatory animals, etc.

Some, a few, would rather spend their time doing other things....

"There are men, in all ages, who mean to exercise power usefully; but who mean to exercise it. They mean to govern well; but they mean to govern. They promise to be kind masters; but they mean to be masters."**

Daniel Webster

No Success, No Failure

Plus, if you are never held accountable for your successes and failures, it doesn't matter how success is defined....

If your production isn't tangible or have utility it doesn't exist, regardless of what you call it. And subsistence producers exist in every environment but urban producers mostly produce nothing with much utility. Something like GOODWILL is a nominalization, you cant tote it or box it up. Its simply a name for what doesn't exist.
