The Protector (closed for Cumaholic21)

Raye watched Kyle as he slowly walked towards her with some equipment. She huffed at his answer. "I'll never get fuck." She thought she heard a few chuckles and something about a bitch in heat, but that didn't bother her. What did was the ugly thing Kyle was pushing towards her. He didn't expect her to put that on did he? It did nothing for her figure. She opened her mouth to argue, but saw the others were putting on the same thing.

"Give me a gun too and I'll put it on." Before Kyle could argue. "I'll be as camouflaged as the rest of you. It'll take a minute or two for them to recognize it's me and that minute or two could be the difference between life and death and I don't mean my own. Give me a gun. I'll even put on the UGLIEST outfit I've ever seen first to show trust."

And Raye did. She changed into a pair of dark jeans and shirt. She pulled her hair back into a bun like she saw some of the other women do. And got dressed. She sighed and begged if anyone could find a pair of ugly boots she could wear instead of the heels she had on now. There was a pair only slightly too big, that she slipped her feet into. She compared herself to the others. She didn't have their stiff movements or their fluidity in other areas, but she could try to fake it.

Raye turned back to Kyle. "So about that gun..."

Kyle Gotlieb

"A gun?"

Kyle had to hide his bemused smile,

"So you want to be the VIP? Sure I can organize you a gun since you got all dressed up for one."

He knew that he got some freaked out looks from the other guards as he pulled a silenced 9mm pistol from one of the bags.

"Relax guys, she knows how to handle a gun."

He went back to her and handed her the gun,

"Safety is on, it has a round in the chamber so just flick off the safety and you're good to go."

He took up position next to her, the plan was to wait for half an hour and then move her back to her room through the stairs. It was not SOP as that stated that she should be moved immediately.

Raye was elated when Kyle trusted her enough to give her a gun. Much to the others horror. She smiled then checked the magazine, the bullet in the chamber, and put it in her holster. She saw some looks of approval and 'what?!' She smiled sweetly not explaining a thing. She didn't always have body guards. It just seemed that the more she received the less she had to do to defend herself. But how did Kyle know that?

Now that the moment had passed Raye was getting bored. After 3 minutes of everyone standing guard and doing nothing she thought she was going to die. "Dude what are we doing?"

"We're waiting the standard 30 minutes to see if we need to evacuate or if this is just another standard attempt."

Raye rolled her eyes. "There's procedures on the different levels of emergency on the attempts on my life?! Hey, that means there's more than enough time for a quicky right?" Raye turned to Kyle with hope in her eyes.

Kyle Gotlieb

"The operational parameters for a quickie is 5 minutes, we are not dressed for that and of course I doubt that any of the guys present will not look, get jealous and report it."

He did not even smile, but the others jostled each other and chuckled,

"Now see to those batteries in the phones since you are so bored."

If anything, she was very persistant, she sure had a way of getting under your skin to get what she wanted and it seems like she didn't mind getting it at all costs even if it meant having sex with ten other guys watching

"Report it to who?" Immediately Raye's face fell. "Oh yeah. But ... I mean surely there's ..." Raye looked around the room trying to find one small spot that could afford some privacy. "The closet. There's a small closet. It'll be private in there. And no one will report it cuz we'll shoot the fucker in the balls or if it's a chick in the head who does. Problem solved."

Raye was sure he would still say no she began picking up the phones and taking out the batteries. "5 minutes is more than enough time. Didn't you say we have to wait what 30 minutes here. That's like 6 quickies. I'm not asking for much."

"I'll say," one guy said laughing. Raye laughed too and looked pleadingly at Kyle. She knew she was coming off as desperate, but dammit, she wanted to get fucked. She was still a fucking virgin for fuck's sake. Shouldn't she at least know what the other girl's were talking about.

Kyle Gotlieb

He didn't even look at the closet,

"The closet? Really Raye? Now you are just grasping at straws. There will be time for it when people are not trying to put a bullet into you."

He checked his watch and turned to check the windows. He knew that they were fifteen floors up, but it didn't rule out the windows, especially with cybernetic enhancements. He raised his hand when Raye started what seemed like a protest.

"Not now Raye, I told you there will be enough time later if we survive this."

He flicked the safety off on his rifle and kept watch on the guard he suspected to be the mole out of the corner of his eye. He almost didn't hear the cocking of a hammer, he moved instinctively and dove at Raye. The shot sounded loud, but so did the gunfire that followed, Kyle grimaced at the pain, armor piercing, he should know, he gave them to the guys. He rolled on to his side and found that almost everybody but Raye and him was dead, Simmons was alive, but choking on his own blood.

"Fack me, how did that slip under the radar? Come on Raye we got to get out of here. Fast."

Raye shrugged having more fun talking about and seeing how some of the guys kept moving as if they're bodies were uncomfortable. She got up and threw the batteries into a sink and turned on the water. She went back to Kyle and opened her mouth to make another lewd comment when he cut her off. Okay, so she was being distracting and probably not the good kind.

"Fine." Raye crossed her arms and tried not to look bored which she suddenly was. Raye was looking around at all her guards grinning. "So what's the next-" Suddenly she was being tackled. Raye gave a small yelp and then she was screaming into someone's shoulder. The gun fire was close, really close, like in the room close. She couldn't stop the scream until she felt someone twitch on top of her. Oh, gawd, was she the only one alive? She was dead for sure. Oh, gawd where was Kyle. KYLE! Raye wanted to scream.

Raye was hauled to her feet by Kyle and she went into his arms hugging him tightly even as he was pulling her away and pushing her towards the door. "What about-?" Raye turned to see every guard dead. "They're still some alive. We should help them?" Raye said as she was pushed out the door and was on auto pilot as she ran down the longest hallway she had ever seen.

Raye heard someone at the stairs running up. Which meant waiting for the elevator was out, but trying to get down the stairs wasn't a good option. "You trust me right?" Raye yelled over her shoulder. "Follow me. I'll get us to the ground." Raye ran faster, her feet pushing her faster. She just prayed that no one changed the outside of the hotel.

She could hear Kyle's footsteps slowing down as they quickly came to the end of the hallway. "No don't slow down or you'll miss!" She didn't have time to explain as she took out her gun and shot 3 shots into the window. She holstered it and with 5 steps lept and jumped through the window. She looked down and for a split second thought the tarp wasn't there. Then she was falling and she was landing in the tarp, rolling and falling onto another tarp, then another and then hitting the hard concrete. "Fuck!"

They had changed the layout slightly. That last tarp was a higher off the ground. She took in a deep breath and tried to roll out of the way so that Kyle wouldn't land on her. She remembered a few years back when she used those tarps as a way to get up and down from her hotel room without the last guards knowing how she had became spiderwoman. It was her secret and she thanked the Gods she hadn't been found out or those tarps wouldn't have been there.

Kyle Gotlieb

He was so engrossed in keeping his eyes on their suroundings that he almost didn't hear her, what the hell was wrong with him?

"I trust you."

He followed her, making sure the way behind them was clear, he registered the drawing of a weapon from a holster and looked as Raye shot out a window and followed after it. He rushed to the window and watch her bounce and roll down the tarps on the outside. Would they support his weight though? He jumped, turned to land on his back, then rolled down, leaving blood smears as he went. He landed on the ground in a half crouch, rifle at the ready.

Two men came out of the front door, weapons drawn. Kyle did not ask, he fired two rounds, two head shots. As luck would have it their attackers left their cars outside, parked for a quick getaway. He shot out tyres and for good measure fired some rounds through the engines. He slid into the seat of one and waited for her to get in.

"Don't know about you, but I want to get out of here."

Raye was still holding her side sucking in air. Dammit that hurt like a mother fucker. Who's bright idea was it to move the last tarp higher again? She wanted to scream 'Time Out' and stop. She was hurt and didn't want to 'Play' anymore. If only this was a game. The shots had her jumping and she looked to the dead bodies, to the smoking gun in Kyle's hands, then to Kyle. Raye sighed knowing she was safe for a little while longer.

Raye watched Kyle work not 100% sure what was happening. She was a useless body guard. She stared and when he got in the car she hastened to follow. "What about the rest of the body guards?" She couldn't leave her only family. Or her belongings? Hell, she hadn't even shopped properly here. NO, her new white dress! She couldn't leave that behind.

Kyle Gotlieb

He started engine, pulled away with a squeel of tyres and raced through the traffic,

"The guys are professional enough to look after themselves and if push comes to shove, they know where I will take you, before we go back to the Hotel."

He turned a corner, tyres skidding and squeeling as they narrowly avoided a bus, slipped past two cars, slid back into their lane, turned another corner and when they hit a one-way he gunned the engine, racing down the road, only slowing down to turn left, back right and suddenly turn into a parking lot and got out.

"Come along, we are on neutral ground now, no corporation rules here, let's get another car."

When he pulled off Raye had thought to be strong like him. Instead she screamed like a girl and scrambled for the suitcase. She whimpered at Kyle's words hearing them, but processing them slowly as he weaved in and out of traffic. "So .. so they kno-know where we ... oh my gawd oh my gawd oh my gawd oh my gawd oh my gawd oh my gawd oh my gawd oh my gawd BUS!" Raye held her heart as she tried to breathe again.

The car thankfully stopped and Raye just sat there not moving. Kyle opened his door and like monkey see monkey do Raye opened her door and got out too. "Where are we? Can we go back for my stuff?" Raye wasn't thinking properly and she hesitated getting back in the car with a man who drove like a psycho.

Kyle Gotlieb

He paused at her words, lened in to take a look at her and nodded,

"We are in a neutral zone, where the is no ruling Corporation. We need to get a car to get to a safe place. When I am sure that you are safe and the Hotel secured, then we can go fetch your stuff."

He spoke slowly and evenly, more to comfort and calm her than anything else. He took her hand and started walking. They came across a car, he quickly checked it and moments later they were driving more discreetly in the traffic. Kyle sighed and rubbed his chin, his thoughts drifting away to how his group of guards, well not his, they were there when he got there.

Raye still didn't understand. What did being in a neutral zone have to do with anything? Did that mean they wouldn't come after her in a neutral zone and if not why were they leaving it? Gawd, she didn't want to die. Yes, moments before she was considering giving herself up, but when the moment was upon her ... she didn't want to die. She didn't want any pain. Hell, now she wished she was back at home holed up and safe.

Raye perked up at his words. "You promise. I spent a lot of money on that dress and I still have a pair of boots I haven't completely broken in yet and ..."

Raye yammered on and on. It was obviously this was a way for her to cope with the situation than actually being concerned about the materialistic things back at the hotel than her own life. Raye wasn't even aware that Kyle wasn't even paying attention to her.

Kyle Gotlieb

He smiled as he listened to her talk, some of the things seemed so random, that it almost sounded like a half-thought excuse. He allowed her to keep talking, when she finally stopped listing all her posessions he had pulled into a garage and was sitting there looking at her and listening. He did not want to get out, the pain had finally caught up to him and he wanted to rest a bit.

"Tell you what, open that door over there, the alarm should be deactivated. I'll be along in a few seconds. I just want to...rest a bit."

The round had ripped through his body armor and had ripped a nice path through him. He had lost quite a lot of blood, but first he had to make sure that Raye was safe.

"Well go on, I'll be right behind you."

They finally stopped and she finally shut up. He hadn't move so she didn't either. She didn't know where they were and she was going anywhere without his say so. Hell, she was content to sit here and wait. Maybe they were making sure the bad guys weren't following them or ... Raye turned towards Kyle alarmed.

"What's wrong? You want to rest? Why did you hesitate? OH MY GAWD ARE YOU GOING TO DIE?!" Raye reached forward and started shaking Kyle as if he was slipping into death. "Don't go. Don't go. You promised to protect me and keep me safe. I'm not leaving you."

Okay, so she was overreacting but why else would he send her away. He was going to die and she was going to be all on her own. "No, I'm not leaving without you. I'll stay right here too." Her eyes were shiny with unshed tears.

Kyle Gotlieb

He bit back a grunt of pain as she shook him and smiled at her instead,

"I am no an elephant that will send you away to go belly up."

He chuckled despite the pain and tiredness,

"We can wait together then."

He leaned back in the seat and closed his eyes for a few minutes, he spoke with her, just to ensure her that he wasn't going to die.

"There is this lake over at the base I grew, Lake Ochikiwah or something like that, I used to go swim there when I slipped off base. One of the reasons I had to count lashes. One day I met a General's daughter there, was the first time I saw a real life woman in anything less than a uniform or PT clothing. I ran away, never to return to that lake."

He smiled at the thought and then opened his eyes,

"OK let's go."

He opened his door and climbed out, pulling the rifle from it's resting place next to his seat. Luckily the dark colored seat hid the blood stains. He led the way to the door and inside, once the iron door clanged close behind him he relaxed.

"Welcome to one of my private safe houses, you are safe here."

"What?!" Raye didn't understand the elephant part, but she understood he was going to stay with her and not die. "Good." She stared at him wondering why they were waiting. She would ask, but maybe if she listened she could figure it out. Hell, she needed to do something anything to get her mind off of what had just happened. Was currently happening.

Raye turned to Kyle and smiled. His story was a nice one and one she longed to have been apart of. Only, for the fact she didn't have any to compare it too. No real adventure of her own. Even if it was to see a naked manly part. "I see. So you're a virgin too?" She smiled innocently seemingly unable to believe that about him. No way.

Raye turned around. Nothing seemed different so she wasn't sure why now they could leave the car, but whatever. Raye got up and waited for Kyle to stand beside her before they entered. This was one of HIS safehouses. How many did he have? Why? As Raye walked through the house all the questions fled her mind as her eye caught site of a huge bathtub. "Ooooooh."

Kyle Gotlieb

He activated all the external defenses and alarms, then gratefully sat down on a chair, he slipped off his kevlar and shirt. The kevlar had stopped the bullet from running straight through, the bullet was lodged under the skin just right of his left shoulder. A split second later and he had been too late to save Raye. He nudged the bullet through the skin, but it was lodged firmly, he got up and as he passed a mirror he noticed that the bandages that the guards had plugged him with had been soaked with blood as well.

Getting out a medical kit, he sat down again and pulled out a knife, using the point he cut open the skin, blood spurting from the build up and using tweezers he pulled out the point, it had flared open, but it was backwards, so it made it a bit easier, but not less painfull to extact, he dropped it on the counter and started to tend the wound.

"Raye? I might need your help over here."

Raye sat down at a counter. She was kinda just lost in her own thoughts as she let Kyle take care of her. That's how it always had been. People taking care of her. That's what she was used to and ...for some reason she hated that. Her own father had put this curse on her. Used her blood as a blueprint. Did he love her? If he did how could he do this to her? Or was she, his own daughter, just a means to an end. A spoiled brat that he could always control. The thought that really scared her was how did her father think of extracting the blue print from her when he technology caught up to do thus?

Raye turned when she heard Kyle's voice. She stared at all the blood and shook her head. She wasn't ready for this. Still, she got up and with shaky hands and voice asked what he needed from her. Because before the day was up Raye and Kyle were going to have a serious chat. There were going to be changes and she needed Kyle alive to implement them.

Kyle Gorlieb

"The wounds are cleaned, I just need you to replace the bandages. Then I want to have a very serious talk with your father."

He indicated the fresh bandages and slowly shifted in his to prevent his wounds from re-opening.

"He had told me everybody was briefed, in-depth scans everything. Now we are here under the radar, shots which should never have been fired have been fired. Worst is that you didn't even know WHY you were being protected."

He shook his head,

"I hate being lied to."

Raye nodded. Changing bandages she could do. She got the gauze and worked on auto pilot trying not to look at the dried blood on his body. Raye's head went up. "Daddy," her lip trembled slightly. She was so conflicted. She remembered the times he was so loving and then the times when he didn't have enough time for her. When she started to fill out and look more like her mother when he suddenly didn't have any time for her. Raye knew she looked like a lightened version of her mother, but a replica nonetheless.

"I want to speak to him too. Can we do it here?"

Raye finished with the bandages. She stared up into his eyes. "Me too," she whispered agreeing with him. "I also want to talk to you. I want to do more than just being able to run. I want to fight back. I can kinda handle a gun, but that was all a farce of training. I want to ... not die. Teach me. Or .. or .. I'll find someone who can."

Kyle Gotlieb

He sat as still as possible and nodded,

"We will do it from here through a video call, the line will be secure so that nobody can trace us. If the remainder of the guards shows up, they will just have to set up camp until I am ready to move out."

He shifted slightly and moved his arms so that she could reach around him, but still he could feel her breasts pushing up and brushing against him, he wondered how they would feel in his hands, how her nipples would taste against his tongue. He shoved the thoughts away with a violent shake of his head.

"I will teach you what you need to know, but killing is never the answer, I had to do it as the other guards have seemed so...secured. But if you wish to learn I can teach you."

His mind suddenly started to wonder if she shaved or waxed, he pushed the thought away and lowered his arms when she was done,

"Thank you, coffee? I'm going to make some."

He cleaned up the bandages and blood, closing the First Aid kit

Raye nodded. A video call would be fantastic as she would be able to see her father and tell him off. She still felt the sting of pang knowing that no matter what he was her father and she would probably forgive him. She had sweet memories a lot more than the bitter ones. And he did provide and take care of her. Than again he had too. This was his fault. Raye was so conflicted she was happy when Kyle changed the subject.

"They tried to kill me. Before they have always tried to take me alive. They escalated this to me being killed. I think I have every right to kill first and think about it later." Raye's eyes grew hard and she looked determined and grim even though inside she was scared. This wasn't her. She was a debutante who should be shopping. Not thinking about learning to fire a gun accurately.

She sighed and nodded yes to the offer of coffee. "With cream and sugar please." She laid her head down on her arms. She was tired, but too wired to sleep. She felt the urge to scream or do anything. It was the adrenaline coursing through her. She had realized when she was talking that things had escalated. This wasn't a kidnapping anymore. This was full grown murder. They were ready to lose the technology and let her die. Kill her.

Kyle Gotlieb

He place the kit in it's place, went to the kitchen and fixed up the coffee, he placed the cups, sugar and cream on a tray and waited for the filter pot to finish, he had time to think, that was something he did not want to do. He looked at the wall, his mind ages and miles away, a soft beep pulled his attention back and he poured coffee into the two cups, he brought them to the counter and placed the tray down in front of Raye, he took one and went to sit down, he felt at ease, he knew that here he had no need to wear armor, here it was safe.

"If you wish you can take off that armor, I know it's stuffy in there. We can phone your father as soon as we are done with the coffee."

Raye struggled out of the armor placing it on the counter top next to her. She also pulled out the gun laying that on top. She cupped her mug of coffee and began to put sugar and cream in her coffee so she could drink it. She moved slowly as her thoughts swarmed her. This wasn't her. Her life was simple before. This was complex and not fair. She didn't need to worry about her own father wanting her dead or the fact that the other people who always hunted her were now out for her blood. What had changed?

Raye knew she was going to die. She was a ticking time bomb and Kyle was just delaying it. if he hadn't been newly hired she would have been dead. Dead and a virgin. Raye's head whipped up. Dammit. She stared hard at Kyle. "We're safe. We're fine. Fuck me. Now."
