The Protector (closed for La_Reina)
2035
The world has gone to shit. Literally. First there was the overpopulation and then followed the two world wars in rapid succession, at least somebody was smart enough not to throw a nuke around so the world wasn't a wasteland. Just blow to bits.
In this new world the man with the most weapons was king and one such man was Marcus Ray. Marcus ran his company with an iron fist and his only weakness was his daughter and his competitors knew this. The amount of body guards that Marcus had to get to protect his daughter seemed like a small army, but the kidnappers paid dearly for Marcus only got the best. Also implanting them with the latest in nano tech that his own company researched and produced helped a lot to make the mortality rate of the kidnappers higher than the amount of bodyguards that he had to replace.
The last attempt to kidnapped her failed, but took a heavy toll, Marcus had to employ three new bodyguards for his daughter and he of course retaliated. The company responsible had months of damage to catch up to and Marcus thought that they would have a difficult time finding new employees. He was grinning to himself when his secretary buzzed and told him that the last of the bodyguards he requested was here.
Marcus watched as the door opened and a tall man entered, he moved with the grace of a panther and Marcus knew that those ice blue eyes that scanned the office missed nothing. He immediately knew that this man was right for the job, he may even survive longer than the others.
"Ah Kyle, I have been expecting you"
Kyle Gotlieb nodded, he was a man of few words, who believed that actions did the best talking. He watched as Marcus Ray, his new employer, threw a dossier on the desktop.
"This tells me who and what you are. You know the deal, do you think you can protect my daughter?"
Kyle nodded
"I will"
Marcus tapped his lips with a finger and then slowly nodded
"Alright, you are in, the secretary will give you the necessary codes and if you have any special weapon request you can tell her"
Kyle turned and walked out of the office, this would not be the first challenge that he faced, but so far it seemed that he might have taken on something bigger than he can handle, but he needed the work to keep busy.
