Gabriel Stone leaned on a concrete pillar near a gray 2024 Lexus SUV tucked slightly back into the shadows and out of sight of anyone who might come out of the elevator checking his time. It was 9:45PM and the lot was nearly completely empty there and within the law firm building that was joined to it. He held a small photo in his gloved hand as he watched and waited for his target to slip out of the elevator which should be just about now based on his informant's information.
He did one last check of his gear as he slunk in the shadows. He held a small tote bag with some gear slung on his back which included a some duct tape, a shot filled with a chemical that would help his target sleep for several hours, a knife, some rope, and a toys he would use a little later on. He had his plan laid out and ready to go though he had to admit it was pending exclusively the informant's information. This informant was the man who had pointed him to his next target. He normally didn't take on private bounties like this for the desperate risk involved, but given the amount of money he was about to be paid, he opted to make an exception.
Gabriel heard the chime of the elevator and knew it was on it's way up to pick up it's late passenger so he reached into his pocket and pulled a small pistol with a silencer on it. He waited till he heard the chime stop, then after a moment or two start up again. He had to move quick if he were to capture his prize. He was not worried about camera's catching anything as this one spot in the parking lot had two bad cameras and thus created a huge blind spot. He informant had made arrangements to have her parking spot changed from a lower level to this one on the illusion it was some kind of prize.
He often wondered about this informant. He had reached out to him on the dark web and it quickly became known how badly he wanted this prize. Making her disappear wasn't going to be easy though as she was well liked and lots of friends. His prize had family though no one on this coast. All her family lived back east. Regardless, he had required more payment to be sure for the risk. His informant had also let him know she was about to take off on a 2 week hedonistic cruise and wouldn't be back till then. The stage couldn't have been set more perfectly if he had tried.
The elevator chime stopped and he heard the door slide open and the familiar desirable sounds of clicking of heels. From the shadows, he finally saw her turn the corner to her car completely oblivious of him. As she reached her car, less than 20 feet away from him, her back to him, he stepped from the shadows, leveling the gun at her and began to walk towards her saying, "Hello there...."
