It was a female only prison, the governor Mike Thomas had been in charge for over 10 years. It was his prison, his rules, his prisoners. He ran a very tight ship, everyone knew their place in the system and bad behaviour was severely punished.
Mike had a large office in the east wing of the prison, he liked to get to know all of the prisoners personally, sometimes intimately. After 10 years of being in charge Mike felt like this was his kingdom, what he said went and the power was like a drug that he fed off. Today he was expecting a new inmate. He enjoyed these days, enjoyed seeing the frightened offender enter his world, enjoyed explaining how things work in his prison. But he especially enjoyed the examination which he always conducted himself in his office. Today would be no exception. His phone rang, the new inmate Rachel Berry had arrived....
