If one is taking the pill in GMT, and moves to EST, should they change their pill time accordingly? Or keep taking it at the 'same' time?

IE: Taking it at 9 pm GMT, take it at 9pm EST?

Or taking it 9 pm GMT, take it at 4 pm EST, which is the same time, just 5 hours behind?

For the rest of the month after the move, take the pill at the EST equivalent of GMT. So, if 9 GMT, take it at 4 EST.

The next month, pick the time that is most convenient in EST and stick with it.

She didn't move, she's just visiting ;)

Thanks though

not much difference

It wont make much difference to just keep taking at the same time of day for the time zone you are in. When women forget a pill, they can take it a few hours later without losing any contraceptive value. Whatever you feel comfortable with is fine, but if she is going to visit often it will be easier to just keep taking it at the same time of day, say 9 PM for the time zone she is in. When you start adding and subtracting hours when you go back an forth you increase the chances that you will forget altogether. I am getting confused just writing this.

On the other hand, we are adding one second to our clocks at midnight tomorrow to make up the for the slow roation of the earth. So have her take the pill a second earlier on Sunday. :)
