I got us a thread for tomorrow Desert Rose. Tiger is winning again.

Garcia signed an incorrect scorecard and is homeward bound. I think they should have an official scorer with every group and end all the mickey mouse rules.

Then again, it's his own damn fault for not checking it. Had the wrong score been one higher instead of lower he would have just been given the extra stroke.

Oh well, dollie, with Tiger up 3 we might as well play spades tomorrow. The guy just doesn't lose when he's got the lead.

His back nine yesterday was unbelievable. I sat and watched with my jaw hanging down half the afternoon.

I *do* think, however, maybe the PGA needs to implement a "Tiger rule:" If Tiger is leading a tournament after the 2nd/3rd round, he must play alone to avoid the melt-downs his playing partners almost invariably suffer.

ETA: Okay - that settles it. The gopher from "Caddy Shack" has taken up residence on the 18th of Southern Hills. There's no other explanation for what happened to TW yesterday *and* today.

Tiger does that alot... he starts out slow and steady behind and when everyone else starts to fall away, he takes the opportunities and blasts ahead. LOL

What I find funniest is that Tiger's play IS the benchmark for everyone else. After the first day of play, and Daly is leading, he tells the press that he "played [that day] better than Tiger did". I bet Tiger laughs his ass off at comments like that or he should. Several months ago, one young turk said during a major event that "Tiger's beatable". And then Tiger promptly wiped him off the fairway. LOL

As you know, one of the biggest parts of golf is psychological... and Tiger knows this. Other golfers DO meltdown because he's mentally stronger than most of them are.

They be scared of him!!! and for good reason.

I think he's harder on himself when he doesn't make it then his detractors are, though. I'm not talking about his silly "slumps" where he's still winning occasionally - I mean when he actually misses something he should have got. That commercial where a mirror image of himself is critiquing him is probably closer to the truth than a lot of people realize.

His final shot was *so* close. Grrr.

Of course, I'm hoping for a Canadian 2nd place.

Guess I'll be for Woody Austin today. He's got some fire in his belly.

Okay but I'll lose all respect for you if you say anything about rooting for those 2 Sta-Puft Marshmellow Men.... Montgomery and Daly.
;-)

Is this a network problem or just a problem of mine?
Okay... this is stupid. I've got some hooky music and no real audio of this thing. I can hear the audience and claps but no announcer. You have better than that? Maybe it's my dish...

At least Austin and Els are making a run at him. He might have to get off the "play safe" attitude and go for a couple of 'em.

DAMN that gopher! He's moving from green to green to stop Tiger!
Yea and he's on Ernie's payroll too. LOL

Ernie's hotter than hell, isn't he?

A good finish - Austin and Els made a good run, but it's hard to beat "the eye of the Tiger."
