The Peace of Art

I'm glad architecture also came up here. I can's say I know many by name but I've always enjoyed good architecture.
One that I'm familiar with is Hundertwasser. His architecture always makes me smile when I come across it.

This one is in Magdeburg Germany.

And this one is probably his most famous building named Hundertwasser house. It's in the middle of Vienna so it's impossible to take a picture of the whole building in one shot.

I’m not generally a fan of surrealism, but this has always been one of my favorite paintings. The Lovers, as it’s popularly known, is actually only one of the four paintings in the Les Amants series by Magritte. Two of them feature figures with cloth over their heads and two feature floating heads. Every person I’ve asked has a very different interpretation of the meaning of this painting. And while all art and the responses it evokes is personal, I think the reactions to this specific painting gives more insight into the person than most.

Henn Kim has been one of my favorite artists for years and a have a lot of her work in my house. She‘s very prolific and her work is smart, funny, insightful, and heartbreaking. This was the very first piece of hers that I saw and it just resonated with me.

Me neither, but this paintings awakes my curiosity.
When it comes to surrealism I can still enjoy the skills, technic and objects.

This almost looks like a high-resolution photo. Just incredible detail!

This painting reminds me of the Skagen painters. I'll put a link here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skagen_Painters
It's something about the light in the painting I think that is the same.
I like it!

This reminds me of Reutersvärd's "Impossible stairs".
