Cizek............Jakor.........Silver hair, orange eyes, prominent canines and nails. Heightened senses: Sight and hearing. Unusual abilities: can sprout wings and fly. Known weaknesses: none. Approximately 1000 years old, appears to be in his 20's. Male

Badbabysitter..Monica Saunders....Detective, short blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin, athletic build, smoker, human 37 years old. Female

PogueMahone...Plato........Hunter of 'renegade' kin, abnormally tall, bald, dark violet eyes no eyelashes. Heightened senses: Sight and hearing. Approximately? Unusual abilities: none known. Known weaknesses: none. Male

Kuldaboli.........Andrea Emmanuelle Garcia.....Risks exposure by killing drug dealers. 5’7”, half Caucasian-half Latino, dark chocolate brown eyes, and had long, curly, dark hair, slightly elven features. Heightened senses: Smell and hearing. Approximately 80 years old, appears 35. Unusual abilities: emotional reading and projecting. Known weakenesses aversion to sunlight, and fragile teeth. Female

Approximately 5,000 years old. Unusual abilities: can sense kin, manipulate emotion. Known weakenesses: ego, fire, and sunlight. Male

Heya..this looks like its shaping up to be an interesting thread

I didnt realize the hoopla I'd be creating by whipping up the murder thread, i just wanted a way to introduce a normal mortal character..I just hope I dont interfere with your plans too much intrigue

when it comes to horror genres, I've found its always good to come up with universe rules.. I've done that with Dawn of the Dead and Nightworld.. I dont know how this would strike the rest of you

as for my own character.. shes not psychic, or supernatural, or a combat machine, she's just a very good detective

It's my rule of thread creation

I try to create

one multiplayer thread
one realistic setting
one non realistic setting
one FF story line
involved in one not of my creation

Perhaps I'm just overly creative, but it gives a little balance and more people opportunities to interact with me.

Basic rules are that KIN (as I tend to call the Vampire community, which is why i called the thread Vampyric and not a vampire thread) can only have 2 heightened senses, should have some weakness, should have animalistic instincts/physical traits, should be generally healthy and strong, and a generic blood lust. Time setting is current time with the joys and struggles of 21st century New York. The club is a safe haven and attracts some mortals who are perhaps more wild than not.

I hope the addition of a psychic fits in. My vision for the character (if you'll pardon the pun ) was that she is the bridge that the detective could possibly use for finding out more about the presence of vampires in the city. I think there's alot of potential for this thread to become quite interesting.

I would think by definition of vampires living in a mortal city there woul have to be some kind of contact, and another assumption is someone has to go feral at some point. By law of averages, not every vamp would abide by the general rule of drawing no attention to yourself (which would seem a rule that is in the interest of self preservation).

I'd be interested in what the posters playing the supernatural think about the addition of mortal chracters.

Every vampire story has their contact with the mortal realm, beyond the necessary food supply. My favorite vamp show was "Forever Knight" and i tend to think of it when I do this kind of stuff, the night club, the kinship, the interaction with mortals, etc.

This is a great idea and is starting to become really interesting. This is just what the doctor ordered. A good vampire thread. This is great.

I hope people don't get anoyed with me. I have a tendency to write really loooong posts. I'm sorry, I just can't help it. Once I get going, I just can't seem to stop. If people don't like it, just tell me and I'll try and cut them down to size.

I like the 'normal' characters. I think they're fun and add a different kind of flavor to the thread. A bit of spice! My god, I'm talking like a chef!

And everyone insists on keeping the poor detective busy thats for sure

as for the long posts, i think they are more than welcome, take a look at my Dawn of The Dead..its been going on for a while, with a cast which likes to ramble on. I think detail and nuance and explanation give a thread more richness, plus it expands on the story. We're already on our way to creating a rich world.

I've also managed to convince my s/o to come on board again, and he's going to try jumping in as he loves the vampire genre. All I know is that he said he's going to a be a bad guy, a very bad guy.

Yeah well, bad guys are always so much more interesting then plain old nice guys.



Likewise I don't mind long posts. Really, I find it difficult to get into significant action with the character otherwise, unless I'm needing dialog between the characters. If there's anything anyone wants specifically to occur between my character and others, message me and we'll see f we can work things in.

Just wanted to post that I'm still continuing my character, I just don't have time to put a post up until about this time tomorrow (3/1).

My next post I figured on bringing Oriana into the evidence room, I'm seeing the hole time she's being shown around on her 'tour' by David she's hearing the snide comments and such from everyone. Generally this will make her both upset, embaressed, the whole nine yard. Poohive, I was thinking of your character's reaction to this, could we make him a sympathetic knight in shining armor type? That would fit in nice, I would think.

I'm also thinking of letting one more 'day' pass for her to go to the club. I'm thinking her search today picks up not much and she leaves frustrated and tired. She lets on in idle conversation that she's heading to a club tomorrow, unknown to her the hang out of the vampires.

Yeah, sorry about those line thingies. I just used them as seperators. I was jumping around alot in that post so I figured I'd have to find some way to seperate between 'chapters'. I won't use them if they bother people. I just figured I'd have to try and make the post more easy read since it was so long.

Hmmmm.....my character just had a hell of a shock...if necessary i could get her there by needing a drink or two to calm down...*ponderponder*

Or.....poohlive's character David could alert Saunders as to the drawing they found, and she could call him to where she is....and Oriana refuses to left alone, maybe. Something along those lines. I'm game for whatever.
