The opposite sex and threads

When you see a thread, started by a member of the opposite sex do you tend to jump on there threads faster?

I personally do, but with a handful of male individuals I jump on their threads too. Bascially I jump on any female threads first, then I look out for a few male indviduals who I think are cool, and would like to be buds with.

So do you have a gender preferance when you first get on lit, to first read their threads?

I want insight with spacifics on this one.......

Nope... with me it depends on the header for the thread. If it grabs my attention, then I will pop on over to see how interesting it is.

For me, it's the always title first, not even the thread starter counts most times.

The gender doesn't matter at all.

I prefer to read threads started by women, those tend to take priority in any case.

I will also read the threads of certain men as when I see them, but that only applies to one or two men on the board.

People i have come to call freinds first(same goes for last poster) because i am always interested in what they have to say....
Thread header next-----if its interesting naturally i go in for a look
Sex of thread poster comes a distant third....

I really didn't realize how gender biased I am. After thinking about it, I do tend to respond to female litsters more. Maybe posting here, is the beginning of a new paradigm.


I tend to echo, MissT's sentiments, though. There are some litsters that will probably never see my post on a thread they start. Geez, that really does read, "Bitchy!"

Unless I'm incredibly bored, it's the subject that gets my attention first.

Makes no difference- I look at titles first. If it is a title I like, it doesn't matter if the thread starter is male or female.
