Not sure how many of you have ever moderated a forum.It is a hard,thankless task sometimes for any forum.But this is a massive forum and the possibility of illegal stuff being posted is significant I would have thought.

So,from a newbie,seems to me that we all should be grateful for what they do to make this the great fucking place that it is.

Pretty sure this board is unmoderated or at least very lightly moderated. The other boards I don't know.
I used to moderate one long time ago but it wasn't very busy and not the sort of forum that invited riffraff so it wasn't very hard. Busy boards are harder and all purpose ones like this are a headache I'm sure.

we thank laurel, manu and the mods fairly often but another thread can't hurt. it is mostly a case of cleaning the aisles and restrooms after spam's been chucked around, and this place is kept pretty clean
and then there's the dealing with all the PMs complaining about stuff....

there are quite a few here who have moderated on other boards, owned/run other boards, and modded here, including myself. some, like bronzeage, are currently modding at lit.
