The Obamacare Hoax

There is no doubt about it. The Fraud deliberately lied to Congress and the American people about Obamacare purely for political gain. It's an undeniable fact. Denying it, attacking me or "Faux News" only makes you look like a complete fool. Those of you who supported him should be angrier than anyone for being misled. Aren't any of you pissed off enough to stand up and say something?

My dad was a great salesman. The key to being a great salesman is believing the pitch and knowing your customers.

Obama's customers would have no issue at all if lying to the non-customers helped make the sale. They want the product. The interesting thing here is the non-customers didn't buy it. It was sold by democrats to democrats.

They understand that getting this great program in place was worth cutting a few corners with the truth. It just defies their comprehension that the few, selected stats floated since to prop up the deception are meaningless. They want to believe, so they still do.

From the New Testament of A_J

A_J's corollary #1, “The New Age Liberal prefers intuition to reason.”

A_J's corollary #2, “The New Age Liberal prefers the truthiness of expert-driven consensus to a personal examination of the facts and the application of reason.”

A_J's corollary #2a, “In reading, the New Age Liberal prefers fiction to biography.”

A_J's corollary #3, “The New Age Liberal maintains contradictory positions comfortably compartmentalized. (This is because the New Age Liberal is a creature that believes in consensus as a short-cut to an examination of the facts and a reasoned judgment about said facts. Corollary #2.)”

A_J's corollary #4, “When cornered by the truth, the New Age Liberal resorts to ad hominem attacks. Admitting wrong is tantamount to treason to the Consensus.”

A_J's corollary #5, “When lacking reason and sound argument, the New Age Liberal charges headlong into ‘debate’ with emotional cries of Hypocrisy. The New Age Liberal is, of course, immune to and incapable of Hypocrisy. That would require hard and fast standards.”

A_J's corollary #6, “The New Age Liberal thinks, ‘When I do/say it, it is right because of my open-minded education and intelligence. When you do/say it, it serves to demonstrate how narrow-minded, poorly educated and stupid you are.’”

My take on it?

Over the years I've watched the mentality of the electorate change, and not for the better. Far too many now view politics as if it's football or some other sporting contest. And this is not necessarily restricted to the liberal, there are more than enough republicans out there with the same mind set. The view is that the game is over as soon as the bill/act is signed. You can crow/bitch on Monday but by Tuesday you're supposed to forget about last Sunday's game and start jawboning about the up coming game. Neither the sports mentality groups acknowledge that when it comes to politics the game is never over.

Both of the sports mentality groups seem to forget what the role of the citizen is in all of this. During the campaigns and subsequent elections you can be as partisan as you want to be, that's what the contests are all about. But once the election is over it is the citizens role to become the referee.

In 1974 Nixon was run out of office under threat of impeachment for lying to the American people. In 1999 Clinton was not impeached for lying to American people. The Clinton ordeal was a clear signal that lying to the public was perfectly OK.

Somewhere between 1974 and 1999 the citizen forgot, or abstained, from it's role as referee.

I see it as the total repudiation of a famous phrase, "Ask not..."

Now it is, "Demand your 'rights!'"

The other key to being a great salesman is honesty. A dishonest one gets zero repeat business. Once you lose credibility you have nothing.

As has the media. Their role is to be cynical of government, and they've lost their way. Journalism has become cheerleading.

Two Bit Chi-Town Ward Politician

Gooooood Morning to all you diehard Obamazombies..... A couple of questions to start your day....

1. How does it REALLY FEEL to be duped and psychologically ENSLAVED by a two bit Chi-Town ward politician the vast majority of you had not even heard of just over ten years ago?

2. Is Obama turning out to be the Great Presidential Orgasm you all have fantasized about?

And speaking of orgasm....

3. Have each of you had your Required Daily ObamaGasm so as to stay in good standing with Him?

Be warned.... To ensure that you comply with this requirement, he has directed the NSA to monitor all seismic activity detected in the pubic area of each of you, his 'loyal' followers.....

Obama DEMANDS your OBEDIENCE, COMPLIANCE and above all, your ADULATION. If not do not grant unto him these things, he will PUNISH you by turning the IRS loose on you...

Have a WONDERFUL DAY in your self created hell and abomination known as ObamaNation. Where the only thing that really matters is the 'legacy' of a con artist who bull shitted an entire nation into giving Him the keys.....

That's always been part of the American landscape. The problem today is the consolidation of the media into only a few outlets. Thank God for the internet.

“There’s still a lot of stuff that’s coming out,” Weinstein said. “People need to see it. It’s coming together. And for me, it’s really kind of relieving because … it’s stuff people should have been seeing for a long time. And I can finally it get out there. I just want people to think.”

“Rich, what is coming next?” Beck asked. “What is the one thing that you would say, ‘America, you need to know this’?”

Weinstein said Americans need to know that even if they survived the first wave of the Obamacare rollout with their insurance intact, there are measures built into the legislation that won’t come into effect for ten or twenty years, and employer-based insurance will be next.

“The Cadillac tax, people think is just for the high-end insurance plans,” he said. “But the way Dr. Gruber describes it on video, within a certain period of time, I don’t know if he said 10 or 20 years, it’s going to hit everybody, and it’s targeted at the employer sponsored insurance.”

Weinstein said the coming wave of higher premiums and lost plans are structured in a way that you blame the “evil insurance companies,” in Gruber’s words, not the government that forced them to implement the policies.

The administration and Gruber will deny that they are out to change employer-based health insurance, Weinstein asserted. But he also cautioned that you cannot rely on what they say in speeches — you must also listen to what they are saying at the universities, at economic forums, and among themselves.

“It’s all out there,” he said.

Everything we told the libs and all-knowing "moderates" that this bill was designed to do: Cloward-Piven.

The problem with media is that the news is now a 'for profit' part of all media.

Journalists are taught to report truth, which is noble and great and lasts until they get their first job in the media. Media companies teach and force employees to editorialize. The "journalists" naturally gravitate towards the media that fits their own politics because advancement is impossible against the current and that's for both the right and left sides of the media.

True enough until the rabid fanatics become a luxury the media cant afford. My local paper fired several of its editorial staff for their leftist drama when subscriptions went to hell. Now the paper operates with a small crew of silly-shits with no brains.

Miles hates Obama, thread #326.

His pathological hatred toward anything and everything relate to President Obama continues unabated.

The only thing new is his feeble preemptive attempts to forestall criticism of his wingnut ranting.

What a schmuck.

I'm not disagreeing with your overall premise, but I think the difference between 1974 and 1999 was more in the character of the two men involved.

And just for clarity, Clinton was impeached. He just wasn't found guilty by the Senate, an outcome he was sure of, so he stayed in office. Votes in both the House and Senate went virtually along party lines. Guilt or innocence had little to do with the outcome. "Party first" is the message that the electorate really learned from that fiasco, and sadly you're correct in that the electorate seems to have given up on the notion that they can do anything about it.

Exactly, their profits were in jeopardy so they acted to please the people who pay. Nowhere did truth in journalism come into their thinking.

If you still have a small paper, you're lucky. We just got a new local paper after a decade without.

No.

In 1974 Nixon was run out of office under threat of impeachment for lying to the American people about committing a crime.

In 1999 Clinton was not impeached because sane people do not think getting a blowjob is a crime, nor was it the mandate of the Whitewater Special Prosecutor if he was getting extramarital head.

What the paper work says isn't what that was about and sane people knew that.

It was all about de-legitimizing a duly elected President.
It codified, solidified and fossilized the new Republican creed: "Better America fail than a Democratic president succeed"

The rise of Wingnut Nation.

In 1974 there were still a few people who had pride in their country and themselves.
By 1999 that had been pretty much wiped out.
