The NWFL

It doesn't make sense.

The Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) is scheduled to launch on April 14 in many of the same markets.

Knowing there is an uphill battle, why try to introduce TWO new leagues in an already saturated environment? Especially in sports that have historically done so poorly when ANY new league was introduced.

Interesting, isn't it? We'll have to see how it works. I think the NWFL was looking for a slot where the NFL didn't have preason or post season going on, they can't compete with that, and there were no major season closing games in other sports. So was the women's soccer thing.

Soccer isn't as big in the US as football it is, neither league will have the draw as the WNBA. I imagine women's football will start out looking like a high school football game with more boobs.
