A recent poll has W. Bush taking CA over Gore by 7%. Nixon had the 1960 election stolen and came back to win, but is there any hope for Gore?

Bush running against Gorp again, I doubt it! 7% would be generous if it happened, I think Gorp would win. California will vote for nearly any idiot, even though he is incabable of winning his own home state!

I hope I never try to predict the outcome of a political contest in the US because we are too complex to understand in simplistic terms. I just have a strange feeling that come mid-November, 2002 there will be a whole SHIT-LOAD of demorats standing around saying "What da Fu was dat?":D :p

But I'm totally unbiased.

I'd vote for

no, we gave him the ball on the one yard line and he blew it.

All he had to do was pick up the phone and say " Bill, help me."

I have to wonder why that is such a slam. If I were to run for presidency, I would not win my state because I am a democrat and I don't own and oil rig.

Bush didn't carry his home country.

But carrying your own state is/was a given. Until Al Gore.

Recently I saw a cartoon in Newsweek, depicting Gore freshly shaved, announcing his return while the democrats hide behind false beards.....

If his own party isn't excited by the prospect of Gore representing them in the next election, how could anyone expect many of his fellow countrymen to be?

just my humble opinion anyways ....

OK,.......

...."All he had to do was pick up the phone and say " Bill, help me."

Somehow, so far, I haven't seen the current President trying to get his dick sucked in the oval office or trying to find a way to manipulate the meaning of is vs. "is"!. Maybe that's why he didn't call Dipshit! !

WD, Bush didn't win Texas? I thought he did, fairly strongly?

I'm a republican, and I don't own an oil rig either.......but if I can't gather the support of those voters closest around me, maybe I shouldn't be in this "freakin'" election!

Hi, Kitty , you must understand that this isn't really politics, it's really;

ARF, Arf!!

Bush didn't carry his home country.

Possibly a typo.

But being the chick that I am, I wanted to clear up any confusion about that statement. In fact Bush won Tennessee with 11 electoral votes, and Texas with 32.

Oh and a Hello back to you RhumbRunner :)

Uh, current polls show Bush winning California. In Friday's news. Also Simon is gaining as Davis can do no one thing that does not end up tarnishing his image...

Bush could die.

Gore is sooooooooo lack luster. His continuous 're-inventing himself'. Like "What do I want to be when I grow up? kind of shit.

He's a born loser. I don't think he would have ever gotten elected in Tn. without help from Daddy and his cronies.

No More Gore Bore

I think it highly unlikely that Al Gore could even be nominated by Democrats in 2004. The Party is too split by "new" and "old" Democrats to push his nomination through, and they know Bush would beat him like a drum.

It is also not easy to dismiss that Daschle and the Gepper control Senate and House Dems, and they both HATE Gore at this point.

Just a thought.
