I think it all boils down to the majority of Americans are not going to subsidize anti-American activity in professional sports. In the 97 year history of the NFL, it wasn't until 2016 that we ever saw any disrespect for America, it's flag, its Anthem, its veterans. Ntr until Colin Kaepernick decided to spit on them all and was quickly followed by a majority of black players. These players have turned the majority of Americans against the NFL.

The facts say it's because Americans don't want to have cable. The NFL sails on the ship of cable, and the ship of cable is sinking has and has been for years. The ratings for all sports are down and the NFL ratings were going down long before anyone took a knee.

Its not like the NFL to avoid a prime time game no matter what so it is an interesting look.

As for people not being around to watch they put two games on Christmas day, one of which was in the afternoon, so if logic is its a holiday who would watch, well at 4:30 on X-mas day sees most people eating, visiting family or driving home.

No one is watching Thursday night-in comparison to other games-and they keep force feeding the fans those games where players are so exhausted the play is sloppy and injuries galore(while touting player safety all the time)

So I think there is something to the fact the league is seeing the first signs of trouble and it will get worse.

Like I said in another thread the kneel downs might have something to do with it, but its more a combination of a lot of things the league has been doing and its players have been doing.

The liberals glorify these players because of the stance against 'social injustice" meanwhile many of those players have committed crimes and should be in jail. but aren't. Guess that social injustice is okay.

But before the 'patriots' get happy, the assholes boycotting over some-and not near all of the players-taking a knee....guess its okay for players to rape women, beat them, beat their kids, carry guns, use drugs, use PED's steal and commit every other crime they can get away with but....

Maybe the NFL could implement an 'Affirmative Action' plan, such that the makeup of players more accurately represented the makeup of the country, with about a roughly 79% white, 12% black, 9% other affirmative action goal. They should give the white players reparations, and recruit them with a higher pay scale to draw them to the under-represented teams. And if necessary, the Federal government should step in to enact legislation, perhaps several years of government oversight, to impose this social justice on this problem.

With these corrections implemented, maybe the NFL wouldn't have to watch players taking a knee any more.
