The new Star Trek's on tonight!

I didn't even realize it until I was flipping channels and came upon it. I guess they didn't do a good job of promoting it. It takes place before the original series where Kirk was Captain. I'm not sure what I think of it yet.
They did a good job of creating ships that look less advanced than those from the later series, though. The equipment is bulkier and the ships aren't as sleek and extravagant.

I knew about the show, but never knew of its premiere date. A pity, because I thought Scott Bakula in 'Quantum Leap' was excellent - I still am searching to get a hold of the last episode (Mirror Image) on tape. He should make a good captain.

Better stop typing and sit my ass on the couch...

They've been advertising it on the TV Guide channel and other stations.

So far I kind of like it. This crew is younger and feistier than the other series. It kind of reminds me of the original series. Scott Bakula makes a good Starship Captain. And his second in command has had some good lines. He's a wise ass kind of in the mold of "Bones" McCoy. I hope the show does well. I wasn't a big Voyager or Deep Space Nine fan, but this looks decent so far.

Scott Bakula's tearing the ship's Vulcan a new one right now! Neat. It's good to have a fiery American Captain again, no offense to Picard fans.
