Well, yes, but the Gorge is south and the pass is north....

I'm starting to feel better but the massage, followed by some tea sounds great. *hug*

You went that far? Yes, I'm referring to the Zags. I knew the 'hawks played the Vikings. :)

Oh, LOL, I guess I'm referring more toward the gorge amphitheatre, the wild horse monument, and that area. Don't know who the Zags were playing, don't really follow them. I was there for some not so fun family business, sadly. But, yeah, that far.

As for the massage....why don't you lie down while I heat up the oil. ;)

Is that roughly the same as City United played City Athletic ?
Not really. It's more about us getting technical on what constitutes the Columbia Gorge.

Sorry to hear about the "not so fun family business." I don't follow the Zags either. I'd actually thought you'd gone to Central, which is why I wondered who they were playing.

With all the massage stuff I've got, I'm not sure why you're heating the oil. ;)

He's wondering if the game referred to on the previous page was between two teams in the same league in the same city.
The whole north/south thing? It has more to do with john being used to traveling through the central part of the state and hitting the river at a different point than where I know it. My history (and I've lived all over the state of Washington) is that the Columbia River Gorge is the part of the river that separates Washington from Oregon. So, we're like two of the blind men with the elephant. I'm thinking of the National Preservation Area, he's thinking of the river's gorge as a whole.

Does that sound right to you, john?

I think my 'retirement' just died. e-Book Publishing wants me to write for them. I'm starting a blog/website and a conservations organization I support wants me to write grant proposals @3% of the gross grant. I may not be around as much for a while . . .

'Evening, guys and gals. Seems I missed quite the party after I retired last night... :)

So, the long-awaited coffee shop in the bookshop is due to be installed in the next few days. Cue me, swearing a lot as I try to assemble cafe tables. Fortunately, the chairs come ready-made. I'm quite excited, but nervous too. I've shelled out several thousand quid on furniture and equipment, on the assumption I can make most of it back before year-end. It seemed such a good plan a few weeks go...

Maybe I could use a massage, too... ;)

Sounds interesting! Good luck with all the writing, Bear!

It's going to be fine, steve. Coffee shops and bookshops are a natural pairing and your customers will love it. Just think how future booksignings will go!

I'll warm up my massage candle for you. :)

Yeah, that sounds about right. The part of the Columbia between Oregon and Washington by Stevenson, WA and that area is the George. But I've also heard people in central/eastern WA call the canyon of the Columbia by I90 the Gorge too. And yes, I did go to Central. ;)

*begins massage* Oh, you do have some tense and knotted muscles. Let me work those out of you, just relax.

Fingers crossed, mate.

Thanx. Yanno, I just hate it when people wave money under my nose. I have no willpower and simply cannot resist. It's pitiful, really . . .

Sad, innit?
I've just been asked to see if I can put together an aerial for a small group; and they've offered to pay me [I think].
:D

Thanks for the massage, john. I feel much better.

I wish I had that problem.... ;)

I hear ya! :D

*wanders to the bar whistling "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No"...*
I love that you're comfortable enough with yourself that you can whistle with musicals.

As long as you're at the bar, how about a glass of red wine?

Sad, innit?

That sounds like fun! Hopefully, they will indeed be paying you. :)

It's cold and rainy here. Grabbing a blanket and snuggling on the couch sounds really good right now.
