were full of THE CRAZY today...

Most notable - "Police seek corpse stolen after funeral"

Police trying to find a woman's corpse stolen from a casket say a man "obsessed" with her was the last to leave her funeral. She was 25 years old, had died from cystic fibrosis and died on August 8th. Her funeral was on August 15th.

Most janitorial - "Man accused of broomstick assaults"

A man was arrested Monday after he assaulted multiple people with a broomstick and then ran away when police tried to stop him.

Most trippy - "Psychedelic mushrooms seized in South Austin"

Police discovered a large psychedelic mushroom growing operation in South Austin on Thursday-a rare find with dozens of pounds of the illegal crop, worth about $120,000 being cultivated inside a home.

Oh yes, and there's more! I've been keeping Austin Weird for 40 years, yet haven't made the papers yet! :D

*chuckle*

Well, I did not think of that, but it certainly could be a two-fer...

Personally, if it weren't for the different dates on the events, I'd think they were ALL related!

Like the energizer bunny....*crazy* just keeps on going...and going...and going!

The world has always been crazy.

It's just that what happens in Appalachia no longer stays in Appalachia thanks to the 'net.

Haha! Actually, I remember a story about a doctor back in the 20's??? who fell in love with a beautiful young patient of his who'd died of tuberculosis.

He removed her body from the mausoleum after burial, dressed her as a bride and kept her body in his bed for many years.

The story was actually kinda sad...up to a point.

Yeesh.

It reminds me of a movie I saw on TCM...

;)

It was called a surrealistic movie; but the replacement bride to be was still alive.

Sounds like good use of a crawl space. Keep Austin Weird

I suppose! This place isn't too far from my own home!

Hell, we used to have to climb barbed wire fences and "whoosh" bulls to obtain these gems!

Of course....waaaaaaaay back when! ;)

I should have put more money in mushroom futures.
